PurpleHills Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 I think most people agree with me that we need one Center to play with Kovalev and we need one do it all type defenceman to be one of the elite teams in the NHL. If you can have any center and any defenceman who would they be? My center would be Vincent Lecavalier My defenceman would be Chris Pronger Quote

If you can have any center and any defenceman who would they be? My center would be Vincent Lecavalier My defenceman would be Chris Pronger Long Term I would take Patrick Marleau as my centre and Dion Phaneuf as my defensman. IN the short term...I'd take Matts Sundin to play with Kovalev and Samsonov and I'd take Lidstrom as my defenseman Quote
markierung Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Neidermeyer on Defence: Best D-Man in the league hands down. Crosby as the Center Quote
markierung Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 i was thinking Briere too. A Quebec guy who's a who has a lot of heart. He's fast and smart, and would always be ready for the break-out pass form Kovalev Quote
The-Habby2919 Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Well I'll go with realism... C, Doan(Its rumoured that all the Yotes could move).. D Van Ryn. :hlogo: Quote

Pierre the Great Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Barrett Jackman is not in Florida he's in St. Louis http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/players/profile?statsId=2026 Quote
Trizzak Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 I'll assume the goal is a stanley cup this year/next year be damned!!...in which case it is Sakic at center and Neidermayer or Lidstrom on defense. Quote
Shu Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 We should just try to buy the all star team Quote
Shu Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 How about Plekanec and Bouillon? Players who arent already on montreal, notice he said two players away, we already have those two players Quote
Habitforming Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Since this seems to be a dream centre and D-man, I say Richards and Niedermayer Quote
Easy Ryder Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Philly's in bad shape i would say. Forsberg...Kovalev Pitkanen...Markov and Kots. Just dreaming but that would bring the cup this year. Quote
johnnyhasbeen Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Maurice Richard and Doug Harvey !!!! Quote
cfposi Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Phaneuf on D FOR SURE! Center would be Crosby or Thornton Quote
Psycing Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Wow... Samsonov - Malkin - Kovalev Niedermayer - Rivet Markov - Komisarek Bouillon - Dandenault Quote
Shu Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Wow... Samsonov - Malkin - Kovalev Niedermayer - Rivet Markov - Komisarek Bouillon - Dandenault I agree but Malkin, out of anyone you would pick Malkin...................... , Any Center Quote
dark_faerie87 Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 I agree but Malkin, out of anyone you would pick Malkin...................... , Any Center The Russian Connection. Quote
bbr93 Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Wasn't that the guy who got in trouble for allegedly slurring several people last year? There was no evidence at all that he ever said anything remotely racist. One of the guys on 110% said that they knew for a fact that he did slur the ref. What does that tell you? Quote

Pierre the Great Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Adam Oats is he still around? lol. Quote
sbhatt Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 In a dream world were these guys are rent-a-player situation contract wise, I'd love to see Sakic between Samsonov and Kovalev (hes a center that is a shooter first and a playmaker second...what that line needs). On defense, I'd like to see Pronger only because he shuts things down a little better in his own end than Niedermayer...but that's a really tough call between those two. Quote
