Crisp passes goal total from last year, with his 23rd and continues to play well overall.

And Nevins still quite active with his new team, 44pts and 137 PIMs, so he has tripled his production from last year, not bad.

McCarron scored for London tonight...so did 9 others in an 11-0 rout over Sarnia, a team who has failed to dress 18 skaters for quite some time now. Vail scored as well while Reway collected an assist. Yesterday, Zach Fucale's 103rd career win moved into a tie for 5th all-time in Quebec league goalie wins. Tonight, win #104 moved him into a tie for 4th (he has a shot at getting 3rd overall in the next month or so).

Double digits in goals for McCarron, he got his 10th tonight...against Sarnia...who dressed all of 8 forwards (what in the world is going on with the Sting?). 4 of his last 5 goals have all come against Sarnia. Crisp has his 24th of the year against Windsor.

And as I'm typing that, McCarron gets #11, making it 5 of his last 6 against the same team.

Jack Nevins got thrown out of his game against Chicoutimi for a boarding incident.

Discraceful that the OHL allows this.

They must be running out of player cards to not callup junior a kids... but still the OHL has to do something, fix that and allow emergency callups in this situation.

Player safety is at risk IMO... 8 forwards will be too fatigued and could make mistakes that lead to further injuries.

I think they're out of full cards and only have the 10-game ones (for youngsters) left. Unfortunately, the Jr. A/B/C guys are in the playoffs and their callups' priority is to their regular team. What's really odd is that they had 10 forwards yesterday. What's worse is that this hasn't been the last couple of games, they haven't dressed 18 skaters in over a month now.

It's obvious they're tanking for Chychrun but given how bad things are getting there (I think there's an ownership issue as well), would he report? He applied for an exemption into the USHL so clearly he's not against the idea of going the US route, it's certainly far from a guarantee that he'd show.

We saw in the last CBA an addition that would allow teams to make cap-free callups in emergency situations (where 17 or fewer skaters are available). I think the CHL could stand to put something in to allow some extra 10-game cards to be used when there are fewer than 18 skaters available (and all player cards used) as this is putting some players at risk. If this goes on much longer, there are going to be even more injuries.

I don't know anything about junior hockey, but how does something like this even happen? Not even three lines? Sounds like a situation that would only happen in a Peter Puck league the night of a blizzard.

Gregoire with his 26th goal

Hudon ...21st

Vail.... 27th

Crisp.... 24th

Bozon .... 27th

Watched Michigan game, Bennett with 2a and looked good.

He is pretty strong skater, but seems paired with weak d-partner, young team overall and again the opposition (Minnesota) announcers were talking Bennett up as playing his best hockey lately.

The card rule is the main reason. You're limited to the amount of 'carded players' you can use in a season (30) so any team that makes a few trades during the year is burning their cards fairly quickly since you don't recover a card for a traded player while you use one on any acquired player as well. There's a 10-game rule similar to the NHL for lower level junior callups, once you exceed that, you get a full card. There's also a convoluted rule that if you play a 16 year old in an exhibition game, he gets a full card even if he doesn't play during the season, they may have burned one or two there too. I believe you're also limited to the amount of callups you can have on the tryout cards.

Long story short, Sarnia made a few trades during the year which would have burned a good chunk of their extra cards. They've exhausted their callup ones as well and the players that could still play for the Sting (that haven't played in 10 games) are playing in their lower level playoffs and that takes priority. Once those are over, they'll likely go back to Sarnia and play a few games. All that, coupled with some injuries and a suspension, results in this debacle.

Another prospect on the rise right now is Mark McMillan. He has 6 points in the last 3 games, 11 in the last 9 (and he only has 16 points total on the year). I wonder if he's finally starting to adjust to being a go-to player instead of a complementary one as he was his first two years.

N.D. lost several players, Kristo, MacWilliam, Knight, Forbert etc and not quite the team they have been for past couple years, and are like 15-20th in rankings.

Reway(18) & Vail (28) score and both have 16pts in last 11 games.

Reway has 36 points in last 20 games, not too bad at all.

Bozon (28) gets his 100th WHL goal and has 17pts in last 11 games.

Everything I'm reading says McCarron was playing centre all game and was used in a lot of defensive zone faceoff situations.

He wasn't taking the faceoffs, at least not unless someone got kicked out.

Sudbury does seem to allow all three forwards to roam a lot so it wasn't a traditional up and down the wing type of thing.

Campagna took the majority of the draws on the line yesterday.

Maybe the writers are confusing him with Matt Schmalz... another huge kid who wears 27 (crisp wears 77) and was playing centre on the third line. I know with Sudbury's font on the jersey i was confusing the two at first until i picked up the difference in their skating stride.

I think we're talking about two different players. Trizz was asking about where McCarron played (I'm assuming since he replied to a McCarron post), you're talking about Crisp, who primarily is a winger as you noted. But McCarron was at C yesterday and has been for about a month.

Ahh... ok, i thought Trizz was asking about Crisp who is listed as a C on the roster at Sudburywolves.com.

I like Vail's chances, Windsor plays a weak Kitchener team tomorrow.

Bozon has had numerous scoring chances tonight and seems most likely guy to score. Tigers blocking ton of shots and have good d.
