dlbalr Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 I like Vail's chances, Windsor plays a weak Kitchener team tomorrow. He didn't get it vs the Rangers but scored #30 in Guelph tonight. Also of note, Martin Reway has a 5 point night going late in the 3rd. That nicely coincides with the article on the main page. Quote

That nicely coincides with the article on the main page. And Reway joked that Hudon stopped another shot of his, I assume would of been an empty netter or something for 6th point. Poirier really doing well for Gatineau and Flames I think made a good choice with him. Quote
DON Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Vail got 30 in 59 games Gregoire got his 30th today in game 57. Quote
dlbalr Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Vail got 30 in 59 games Gregoire got his 30th today in game 57. Vail still beat him in terms of the date... Quote
DON Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Vail still beat him in terms of the date... Yes, as you predicted. Now to see if Bozon ties em tonight. Nevins back off suspension and gets his 17th. Quote
DON Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Bozon got his 30th, so to be fair both Gregoire-Bozon reached in same day. Kootenay got smoked by Mitch Holmberg who scored his 52-53-54th in 1st period. Quote
DON Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Vail with 1g 1a, continues to do well, pile up points and 12th in OHL scoring. Crisp 1a today but -3 Quote
Machine of Loving Grace Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Vail is an odd cat. His numbers have stepped up once Rychel was shipped out but he doesn't look like his game has stepped up. Merely, his chances are finally converting. He's a decent enough two way forward though. Feels like Henrique without the pure clutch. I'd still be cautious on his long term projections on development. Quote
dlbalr Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Mac Bennett is week-to-week with an upper-body injury (likely a shoulder). Quote
DON Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Vail with 1g 1a, continues to do well, pile up points and 12th in OHL scoring. Crisp 1a today but -3 Crisp 1a yesterday and +2 in a 3-2 loss. Quote
DON Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Gregoire ties Vail, with his 31st and 1a in 1st period today. Gregoire seems a good 176th pick. Hudon 12th and Gregoire 27th in Q scoring. Nevins (1a) in 2nd period. Nevins get a 1a & 1g and was 1st star of game Gregoire gets 3 assists for 4 pt game. Quote
dlbalr Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 There are rumblings that Artturi Lehkonen could be moving to the Swedish League to play for Frolunda. I can't find a good translation but it's either for the rest of this year, just next year, or both. Quote

DON Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 McCarron (13) scores again and dukes it out. Bozon (32) gets 2 g and 1 a in 3rd period. He has 19pts in last 11 games and now 24th in WHL scoring. Quote
dlbalr Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 I heard something of Collberg going to a new team, maybe a different Collberg? I think there are reports that he wants out although his agent denied that. At this rate, I think the best case scenario for Montreal is him staying put. I wouldn't want him going to a new team and liking it so much that he decides to extend his contract another year. His season will be done in a month or so, just ride it out and get him to Hamilton to finish the season. Quote

Could de la Rose also be expected to stop by Hamilton for a few games, if schedules work out? Quote

dlbalr Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Is Collberg strong enough to play well in AHL? Could de la Rose also be expected to stop by Hamilton for a few games, if schedules work out? Strong enough right now? Probably not but another cup of coffee would help get him acclimated for next year. De la Rose is certainly an option to play a couple of games as well but they'd probably have to give him his ELC first (much like they did with Collberg). If we see the ELC in the next few weeks, then he's likely Hamilton-bound to finish the year. Quote

His Swedish contract is up end of April, might he go Henrik Samuelsson route and try CHL if not AHL? Quote
Commandant Posted February 28, 2014 Author Posted February 28, 2014 He was drafted by Windsor last year and rumors were he wanted to come but couldn't get his release. Quote
dlbalr Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 He was drafted by Windsor last year and rumors were he wanted to come but couldn't get his release. I wonder if he may change his mind on that now. He's getting pretty good minutes in Leksand and I believe they've secured their spot in the SHL again for next year. I could see him wanting to stay but if not, Windsor would be a good spot for him. Quote
