Chris
If Pacs is back. DD sits for sure. I woud shake the lines a bit. Pacs Gally Gally pure offense Bournival Pleks Gionta Bourque Eller Leblanc Blunden White Parros When Moen is out play him in Blunden's spot
dlbalr
How come the 4th line ends up with a -3 playing only 7 shifts? And all vs the hot Pominville line? Looks like bad matchups to me. Minnesota had last change, give their coach credit. If Pacs is back. DD sits for sure. I woud shake the lines a bit. Pacs Gally Gally pure offense Bournival Pleks Gionta Bourque Eller Leblanc Blunden White Parros When Moen is out play him in Blunden's spot You want a repeat of the 4th line ineptitude? Blunden and Parros were beyond useless last night (I'll give Parros a pass since he's just coming back from injury) but that line can't accomplish much of anything. It needs to be Blunden coming out, not only to put another competent player on the 4th but also because of the emergency recall setup. It's Blunden or Leblanc coming out, it has to be (unless they fake a DTD injury).

Desharnais should be traded for some hockey tape and a couple sticks.
DON
Markov playing like a kid out there, he also had a good crack a goal or 2 and is just great to see him do so well. Galchenyuk seems snakebit scoringwise, but a 55point pace for a teenager is nothing to complain about and shows flashes of his skill (just no finish yet). Could go with 7 d-men. Murray doing his job well, several hits/blocks, seemed to play smart and not chase the forwards. Great effort in comeback, nice to see. Didn't want to comment on Big George; but got to say he was a difference maker in the games' outcome. Should b an entertaining game tonight, Ave. kids are fun to watch this year and that Mackinnon can really skate, very good test for Habs. Chris
They had a "test" last night against an average team and failed. The Avs will squash them tonight. They are much bigger and faster then the habs. I'm going to this one. Hopefully they will prove me wrong.
The Chicoutimi Cucumber
I thought we could easily have won that game and that most Habs played well, with the exception (obviously) of the 4th line, and Diaz. Blunden is not and never has been an NHL player. Parros, well, he's gonna be rusty, although I doubt he can be relied on for more than fists of fury. A healthy Moen and Prust would make a huge difference in terms of the bottom-6. It'll be interesting to see whether last night showed the team starting to crack along its weakest point (the non-NHL-calibre 4th line) or whether MT will continue to be able to manage things so we can ride out the injuries. Leblanc looked pretty good to me. He hustled and contributed. All I could think of is, if this guy can establish himself, between him and Bournival we'll have enough young francophone talent to keep the dogs of nationalism at bay for a while. Was that Galy's most spectacular game as a Hab? Could be. A shame he didn't cash in - but if he keeps deploying those moves, it won't be long before he lights it up. Desharnais IMHO is playing like a man in a slump; now at least he is getting chances and is involved. I doubt Therrien will sit him - instead he will take the line that Desharnais is "working his way out of it." My feeling is that DD has actually played better over the last while, in that you at least notice him out there. It's just that he's starting from SO far behind that it's taking forever to get back to a place of actually beginning to dent the scoresheet. Colin
Could go with 7 d-men. Actually not such a bad idea, particularly if Patches isn't good to go. Leblanc looked pretty good to me. Was that Galy's most spectacular game as a Hab? Desharnais IMHO is playing like a man in a slump; Easily Leblanc's best play in the NHL, IMO. He didn't look out of place. Chuckie looked like he was one touch from being a top-5 player in the NHL. Easily his best game, as I see it, and with that little confidence at the end of his moves, he could become one very scary player. Despite Markov playing such a standout game, and the bevy of positives over the last few weeks, the game Chuck played actually made me tingle with excitement. *** DON'T READ THIS NEECH Agreed that DD looks like he's slumping. I give him good schtick, but honestly he's doing many of the right things, but his confidence is in the toilet. Don't say anything to Neech, but I actually think he's not far from a goal the way he's skating and going into traffic (I saw him crash the net!) ***START READING AGAIN, NEECH But, you know, drinking game when DD falls on his ass in the slot again! hab29RETIRED
I'd add Bouillon to the list of those that were lousy. But I think it's more a function of him getting far more ice time than he deserves. He really shouldn't be playing more than 10 minutes. And there is no sensible explanation for DD STILL getting more ice time than Gsly. Commandant
Bouillion shouldn't get more than 10 minutes? Well if we want to burn out the rest of our D. Every D on your team should play a minimum of 14-16 minutes or you shouldn't dress them (at least not if rotating 6).
hab29RETIRED
I agree that every dman in your top 6 should be capable to play 15 to 16 min. The issue is that he really is no longer capable of being a top 6 and should be a depth 7th or 8th dman. Bouillion shouldn't get more than 10 minutes? Well if we want to burn out the rest of our D.
