xXx..CK..xXx
Sorry to bring out the irrational psychic abilities but we're winning this series and Therrien isn't getting fired. After the way Babcock handled Subban at the Olympics, I'm not sure he's the best coach for the Montreal Canadiens. Kind of cut and dry reasoning but I agree that for the most part Subban feeling comfortable or being allowed to feel comfortable being himself is pretty important if this team wants to be successful. To play devil's advocate... Subban is a much better player since the Olympics and secondly...not convinced that it would be a Babcock decision alone to bench PK. It was probably a benching by committee. And.... Subban is his best dance partner should he find a home in Montreal.
zumpano21
Boy talk about wishful thinking. Maybe.... I think that sometimes a lot us forget that we are the Montreal ing Canadiens!!!! To quote the movie.... Moneyball.... There are rich teams and there are poor teams. Then's there's fifty feet of shit - and then there's us. The Montreal Canadiens are not the Oakland A's or the last dog at the bowl. We should be acting like the schoolyard bully that plows little kids in the face and steals their lunch money and enjoys it. We should be demanding the best man available for the job, everytime, and destroying anyone who stands in the way.

ICEWATER77
Because of his winning record, I've given MT the benefit of the doubt and have often been supportive. However, I'm changing my tune, regardless of the Sens series outcome. He has to go. Who the heck would devise an "attack the perimeter" offense against nhl goaltending? This isn't the 70's where a beanpole with legpads could pass as a goaltender. The PP is anemic, the entire offensive scheme is weak, guys are being miscast, underutilized, and some are just being overestimated. I see more of the same happening tonight, and if by some stroke of luck we win, the next round will be an incredible wake-up call. Therrien and the entire staff (save Mr Waite) should be fired within weeks. Sorry guys but that's my opinion... I'd better get to church with all this negativity
DON
I was gonna tell you where to go...but church is a good start. Is Tampa coach on hot seat? Being outcoached by Babcock and Tampa's PP sucks and are actually losing in the series.

ICEWATER77
Babcock is a great coach, no doubt about that. However, I think Datzyuk's overall brilliance is rubbing off on many of his teammates. They're totally stumping the high-powered Bolt offense, and that's got Datzyuk's blueprints all over it. I had hoped for a 1st round matchup with Det, and it looks like it'll happen in rd 2. Can't wait, it'll be an up-tempo, skilled series and should be a doozie

Jeff Price (no relation)
A Habs coach is never that many losses away from being fired, but Therien's actually done a pretty good job this season, so far. He won the division. He's won the first round. He will probably win the second. After that, anything can happen. You can say what you want about him, but he's getting it done in the results column, and that's what management notices. If you want Therien fired, the habs will actually have to suck, first. And the simple fact is -- they've been pretty damn good. They dominated Ottawa in possession numbers in every game except the last one, which we won because when you've got the best goalie in the world, he should steal you a game once in a while. (Especially if he personally cost you the game before by playing like crap.) Bergevin needs to hire a powerplay specialist as an assistant coach on the off-season, but even if they lose the second round in 4 straight (which they won't), Therien's job is safe next year.
