Those sad-sack Sabres are last in Atlantic, tied with the pathetic Panthers. 😂😂😂

OK, now, I am just enjoying saying that, I recognize that I may not be able to do so a few months from now ... 😉

It looks like Allen is playing tonight which begs the question, what is the plan for Primeau?

Doesn’t seem wise to have him barely play - if at all.

Might they be "showcasing" Allen?

I think Allen played well enough last game that they didn't have much of a choice but to go back to him for this one.

With Primeau, they don't want to lose him for nothing but don't really want to play him either.  So it's the mothball approach and eventually, they'll ask him to take a conditioning assignment in Laval where he'll be recalled and...well...probably sit some more.  In the meantime, if one of Allen/Montembeault get hurt, then he'll get to at least dress as the backup.

This is certainly the plausible route and I don’t want anyone to get hurt to make room for Primeau.

Hopefully someone in the NHL needs a backup sooner than later. Sure sucks for Primeau because it’s clear that Montreal doesn’t want him.

Yeah but I think the two last ones were garbage

The Barron one was soft, the Xhekaj one was an easy call.  The whistle had clearly gone; he knocked him down anyway.  It's something I'm touching on in the 10 Thoughts piece tonight but his reputation alone makes it easy to call those.

Trade him while he is on pace for 30+.
