xXx..CK..xXx
Minnesota lost 4-2 to the Leafs tonight and Boudreau looked flustered and unhappy about it in his post game interview. He said he liked his team's effort though and that he hoped they would compete similarly tonight.
Commandant
They were the better team against the Leafs. No puck luck. Dubnyk was in net, so we might see Stalock.
Commandant
Drouin and Shaw taking part in this morning's skate, which is an optional one.

Im sure Drouin will be our captain soon... Maybe Pacioretty is the player who will be traded, not Galchenyuk...
Commandant
Shaw is in Drouin is likely per Basu

Toronthab
Drouin is a lot of fun to watch terrific excitement and as he gets comfortable with the team out there should be just dynamic.

Froese will play as will de la Rose with Mitchell slated to be scratched.
dlbalr
Drouin is a late scratch so Mitchell will play after all. More surprisingly, Weber is out with a lower-body issue (from late in practice yesterday) so Davidson is in.
Commandant
No Drouin, Weber, or Price.

xXx..CK..xXx
I was about to like Alzner for a little bit. Hopefully that counts?

sbhatt
The league needs to get some balls and not be afraid to overturn the call on the ice even when it's close, when it's clearly close BUT a good goal. The replay clearly showed that Alzner hit the puck with his stick when it was 2 inches or so below the damn crossbar.

Agreed. It was obviously close but also obviously NOT over the bar. Even if the angle wasn't perfect, I'd still feel that way. Claude's reaction after the call made me like him a little more as well
dlbalr
That was a lousy start from the Habs but they weathered the storm and then picked it up in the second half. Morrow got ripped off in a big way on that tripping call late in the period so it was nice to see that not come back to bite them.
dlbalr
Two stats jump out from the period: - There were 25(!) stoppages. (On the plus side, the Habs won 62% of the faceoffs.) - Galchenyuk played all of 2:52. Even de la Rose played three seconds more. Looking at the ice time for that line in general, it almost seems like the Galchenyuk line is the fourth line tonight which really doesn't make any sense. sim.on
Looks like galchenyuk is getting more ice this period
dlbalr
26 minutes ago, sim.on said: Looks like galchenyuk is getting more ice this period A lot more - nearly six minutes that period. He looked pretty good too. That was a much better period by the Habs as they didn't let the Wild get too many quality chances on Lindgren. That said, this isn't going to go down as a classic game by any stretch.
sbhatt
That powerplay was embarassing. Hudon and Mete both looked clueless out there, and of course it went the other way for a shortie.
sim.on
I don't think Mete was on the ice for the shorty. Petry was the D man on at the time.
