Tony
I wouldn't hold my breath on neither Handzus and Nagy. Especially Handzus, it's no secret he's greedy.

Athlétique.Canadien
Ek update The Canadiens: There was no team that wanted to make a bigger splash then the Habs. There was also no team that worked harder. They were runner ups for Briere, Smyth and even tried to go after Gomez at the end...The Habs ARE NOT done yet. There is a reason the Habs haven't signed the Blakes or Kariyas. They are holding out for a big trade. No question They are on the verge of making a big trade for some money. I keep hearing Patrick Marleau and Elias. The Habs are much better off going via trade then they are going after UFA's. The UFA issue with Taxes becomes a bigger and bigger issue as the price gets higher. However, Shanahan is out there and has always wanted to play in Montreal. http://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog.php?post_id=8405
Chris
I agree about making a trade is the best way to go. marleua is a good choice but it's going to cost Ryder, Pleks or something similar. I wouldn't be interested in a winger, the habs have alot of young talent there that needs ice time. An upgrade to the D would certainly help as well. Tony
Why would SJ trade Marleau without having some insurance? Makes no sense for SJ to do so. Guys like Marleau must grow in palm tree on California...

Guys like Marleau must grow in palm tree on California... It's kinda like the way Dallas saw Ribeiro. Loads of talent, decent numbers....how bad can he be??? The only difference is that Marleau is the scapegoat for a playoff run...not justified at all IMO
Chris
The habs need someone who can get to the playoffs, then you guys can bitch about how bad a playoff player he is.
