dlbalr
The article's reasoning is that Plekanec hasn't been happy with his use or role for over a year. Why would that be the case? They signed Manny to get Plekanec out of the defensive zone and he played something like 25 minutes in Game 7 of the Bruins' series. My thoughts exactly. In terms of his usage, he's the #1 C on this team and was only behind Pacioretty (barely) in terms of forward TOI. How can you be upset at your role considering you're played as one of the top one or two players on the team? No player has ever moped about getting too much ice time so Plekanec not being happy about his role/usage seems fabricated.
Machine of Loving Grace
The next thing they'll make up is that he was mad that Sekac was traded, since their original rumours were that Plekanec didn't like him. Garbage.

DON
Larry's making enough $$/point, he should just be darn happy salary isn't based on production!
Guest Stogey24
The wrist thing for De La rose sucks, but if he can still pull off a strong camp Lars becomes more than expendable.
The Chicoutimi Cucumber
At the end of the playoff, everyone was talking about how it's time to move Pleks: he's 32, he's on the last season of his contract, he's an attractive asset to a team looking to solidify its roster with an all-around, accomplished veteran. So if he wants out, that just forces the team's hand. If he doesn't want out, the team still holds the cards. No problem either way. As for Eller being unhappy, if he is, he has it backwards. We should be unhappy with him.
DON
I heard we gonna clean house & trade Markov, Emelin, Prust, DD, Plekanec, Eller, Gilbert, Tokarski, Therrien, Ginette Reno, Sara Diamond, Scott Mellanby, Martin Lapointe & Paranteau...for bag of pucks.

It wasn't that long ago people were claiming that Benoit Pouliot wasn't getting a fair shake and was a dominant top six winger ready to explode. Still hasn't happened, but at least he's paid like one now.

Max has made his decision. I'm okay with Toews as a third line center.

I always like Kostitsyn, and his struggles weren't unique of second line wingers. 1 year, 2 million. Why not? See if his pal Radulov wants to come along. It remains to be seen if other NHL follow suit. Nobody likes being left behind. Also there is no love loss between the NHL and KHL.
