Machine of Loving Grace
I bet we win tonight, lose game six. If we have to play a back to back, it might end up in more injured bodies.

habs rule
If If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you; If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too; If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies, Or, being hated, don't give way to hating, And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise; If you can dream - and not make dreams your master; If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with triumph and disaster And treat those two imposters just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to broken, And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools; If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breath a word about your loss; If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on"; If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch; If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you; If all men count with you, but none too much; If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds' worth of distance run - Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son! ~KiplingNo Excuses
The Chicoutimi Cucumber
Play like we did last game, get ace goaltending (gulp), and we win. Goalie permitting, you cannot keep having the edge in play and losing. We're due.

Budaj was 8-1-1... or 8-2 He was 5-0-1 vs Non Playoff teams, and 3-1 vs playoff teams including a blowout loss to the same ottawa team we face tonight. Its still an uphill climb. Guest Stogey24
I really feel a win tonight. I had absolutely no faith in price. Which is about as much as he had in himself. Sorry "8-2"

Ahhhh.... the second great falacy of the common Habs fan. Every loss is either 1) Not enough size or 2) Bad goaltending. Price has had 1 bad game in the series... game 1. Game 2... he was stellar Game 4... he was great. Game 3... the lack of discipline and sticking to the game plan cost the entire team. Chris
The habs need to score more than 2 goals and not take the third off. I would start there.

Machine of Loving Grace
The habs need to score more than 2 goals and not take the third off. I would start there. Agreed. Three strong periods. Even if Ottawa is the stronger team in one of those periods, that's fine. It's when it's a landslide I can't stand. I'll take three periods where the teams are 50-50 over two periods of 90-10 followed by a 10-90 where we give everything up.
Commandant
.894 sv% and 3.26 GAA beg to differ. Your looking for an argument bud. Ill stop there Watch the games... instead of quoting the stats..... When you score 1 goal and leave your goalie out to dry for 6 in game 3.... and its a 4 game sample size... the stats are gonna be massively skewed. Budaj is 0-1, has a GAA of 20.00 and a SV% of 0.500. right now in this series. That shows how quickly the stats get skewed in a small sample. Game three blew up after two bad goals. Lets not pretend they were in that game when the fights happened. Those last two goals were unstoppable and the result of the melt down, but the third third goal deflated them. Price was not brilliant in any game. He was terrible in two and good in two. He has yet to win a game we had no business winning, which Anderson has done. I don't know if Budaj is the answer (maybe a game, but not a series), but so far we have not gotten elite goaltending from Price. If you can't see that, you are simply in denial. This is no different then pointing out that DD, Pacs, Ryder, and Pleks have been subpar, which they have.
