The problem is that Plekanec, Byron, Andrighetto, Lehkonen, Gallagher, Mitchell, Flynn. Are all on lesser end of the spectrum for size. I want to see the kid get the call too. Neech
Maybe they're stalling Hudon this year in the hopes that he doesn't get plucked in the expansion draft. If that's the case, I approve.

DON
Some Reusch notes; ...Winnipeg Jan. 11th – Canadiens-7 Jets-4. Canadiens break open 2-2 tie with three straight goals. Arturri Lehkonen 2 goals, 1 assist. Phillip Danault also with 2 goals. ….Max Pacioretty has been a part of eight of the last ten goals the Canadiens have score over the last seven games (4 goals, 4 assists). ….The Canadiens have averaged 2 goals per game over their last 12. Pacioretty and Alexander Radulov have accounted for half of them (12 of 24). In that stretch Pacioretty has 8 goals, Radulov 4. ….The Jets have given up 191 goals this season – most in the NHL. DON
Why didn't they simply let McCarron play today and tomorrow in AHL and call up no one till Sunday night?

I am sure you have a likely logical reason or two for call up to be a healthy scratch...to meet new coach and practice in Brossard a few times before Tuesday's game vs NY? McCarron isn't a healthy scratch though. He's playing today.

habs rule
Well let's see what this kindly old coach; can do. They certainly should beat the Jets, who are on a downward spiral to the airport.

JGC21
Surposed to see Nesterov and not Pateryn in the lineup.
bbp
God i hate watching Emelin/Weber trying to get the puck out of our end They seem to get hemmed in all the time.
DON
Seeing the scary Emelin today...how long will new coach leave him on top pairing? Galchenyuk beat bad when d-man walked around him, soft as butter. Well, Galchnyuk makes up for it at other end of ice!
Guest Stogey24
Nice goal by Markov. But he's like free range and cannot get back when there's a turn over. Pisses me off a bit

Dalhabs
Emelin needs more help from the forwards. If there is three winnipeg players between him inside the d zone and his teammate forwards at the red line its a bit hard squeezing the puck through without getting an icing call against... like that last shift pleky is also helping in own zone makes is alot easier to find a good passing lane. Maybe I am seeing it wrong... I dont know but I dont think Emelin has played that bad so far.
Chris
They are a mess defensively, and slow. Out shot 15-6, At least they are winning somehow, CJ has his work cut out for, No offense anywhere but the top line

Winnipeg's a big, physical team; Pateryn matches up a lot better. It's nice to have the lead but that wasn't a good period at all from the Habs. Galchenyuk looked bad in the defensive zone but at least he helped set up the goal.
