The speculation all week has been that the cuts will either be coming after this one or sometime on Friday. I think regular waivers open up tomorrow so they may be waiting for that to happen as well. Scott462
I like the Hudon/Kotkaniemi/Lehkonen line. Should be a good test, that top line for Washington is a scary thing though.
sbhatt
I love watching Ovi play, so will be tuning in for this one. I expect several highlight reel moments against that sad Habs blueline....glad Carey has the night off.
alfredoh2009
I am happy to see Peca on back to backs. So happy that Hudon and Lehkonen are in the same line If Ouellet is able to shine while playing with Despres, he would notch up in my D depth list I missed hockey so much!
Meller93
Off to a surprising 2-0 lead. Good to see Gally get one!
Meller93
Quick release by JDLR. He needs more of that if he wants to stick
dlbalr
Well, that was a fun period. I have no idea how Montreal's defence is holding things together but holding Washington without a shot for 15 minutes is impressive.
Meller93
lindgren bailed the boys out to start that counter attack. Fully expecting breakout years from Lehkonen/Hudon. 40-50 point years form both
sbhatt
Caps seem content to just go through the motions for the most part, and Habs are making them pay. Probably won't see many 4 goal games during the reg. season, so savor it now.
Commandant
How do we have four. I mean I've seen them... I'm not sure I believe it Its not like Copley has even been that bad. He had like one stoppable goal go past him.

I would send him to Finland. I absolutely would not rush him. Too much of the future of this team depends on him developping properly I'd be more willing to consider 9 games for Suzuki as he's a year older. Remember, not only is Kotkaniemi an 18-year-old, he is also one of the youngest players in the draft, compare him to Tkachuk and hes like 10 months younger.

Chris
Valiev hasn't been too bad, Let Suzuki play in Domi spot, play him with some good players. Pk in regular season form already, not good

But what if he forces the issue? Or maybe just give him the 9 games for the experience but like you said the Habs would be forced to waive a potential player. It’s an interesting situation. He has looked damn good though, I’m feeling pretty happy from what I have seen from him thus far.

You tell him... look kid... go to Finland, have a good season, have a good World Juniors, work on x,y,z and when the season is done we'll give you a few NHL games in March/April. We only get 9 games with you, so we want to save them. That is also a time of year when there is no roster limit.
dlbalr
Well, the penalty kill looks a lot like last year's penalty kill. Mind you, there aren't many players in the lineup that should actually be on the PK.
