Cataclaw
Points: 6251 Wins: 2623 Shutouts: 2 1 Powerplay: #2#15 Penalty Kill: #19 #25 Last 10: 7-2-17-3-0 Cristobal Huet will make his 11th straight start for the Canadiens against the Capitals on Thursday. Mathieu Dandenault and Patrice Brisebois will likely be scratches. Alex Kovalev practiced and shot and handled the puck with authority, despite blocking a shot with his right thumb last night. After the game, he said it was 'blue' but evidently it's not bothering him. - TSN Edited February 2, 2008 by Cataclaw

I've just been so overwhelmed with work lately, it's been tough getting them in on time. Fortunately i have a calm period coming up, and i just finished making 90% of saturday's game thread so i'll be able to post saturday's GDT just after tonight's game -- it will have several new surprises :) I won't say more! Cataclaw
Halak must be really enjoying his time with the Habs... He ain't thrilled that's for sure... He wasn't happy last time, now he must be downright upset. But what can you do? Habs actually have some decent depth. So much so we're sitting two vets Dandy and Brisebois. les_glorieux
Halak will start this weekend, I'm hoping for Saturday against the Islanders.
Habsfan
Halak will start this weekend, I'm hoping for Saturday against the Islanders. No doubt in my mind Halak will get a start this week-end. He'll start Saturday if Huet loses tonight, and he'll start Sunday if Huet wins tonight!
Habsfan84
Halak will start this weekend, I'm hoping for Saturday against the Islanders. He will start Sunday vs the Rangers. Thats my prediction because Huet does not do good against the Rangers but always seems to stone the Islanders.
lazy26
He will start Sunday vs the Rangers. Thats my prediction because Huet does not do good against the Rangers but always seems to stone the Islanders. True, but I thought Huet might want to redeem himself for his last effort against the Rags. In any case, the Caps are gonna want this one bad, so I hope our boys aren't expecting an easy victory. Kolzig has been soft of late... tire him out, and we'll get a few goals that way. GO HABS GO!!!

BTH
The easiest way to catch Ottawa is to just never lose.
brboo
Here's hoping for another strong start. Line matching should be a little harder tonight, Carbo's gotta find a way to keep Markov and Komisarek on against AO's line all night (I cringe whenever he has the puck, such an explosive player). SAKS-AVENUE
Someone needs to score and then go in front of the Washington bench celebrate touch-down style. Then skate over to Kozlov and slap him like the female dog he is.!!!!!! Go Habs Go!!!!!!!!!

brobin
You have got to be kidding me.. Ovechkin gets away with a hold, spins Kovy, then Kovy gets a highsticking call... Brutal reffing once again, if anything, they should each get one...
KoZed
Caps are trying the intimidation game early on; but the Habs seems to wanna dance too. Ryder with a hit on Brashear sent him tumbling down in the Caps' net.
