KoZed
http://www.cyberpresse.ca/sports/hockey/20...ueurs-du-ch.php Habs players were visited by NHL officials and had to submit a urine sample. The test will show if players have taken performance-enhancing drugs. Other tests could also have been done to detect other drugs (cannabis, cocaine, chocolate) but its confidential. Should take a couple of weeks for the NHL to come up with results. Sooo... I guess if some Habs players somehow mysteriously disappears in a couple weeks from now, we'll know he isnt clean... Easy Ryder
With all the rumours this is not a surprise test, this had to be done by the NHL. And it has to be done a lot more often.
alexstream
With all the rumours this is not a surprise test, this had to be done by the NHL. And it has to be done a lot more often. Kozed failed to mention that, according to the article, in NHL : 10 teams have this test done once a year 10 teams have it done twice 10 teams have it done 3 times a year by the NHL, so it's just a normal routine test. saskhab
The fact that the press found out about the test being done is probably a deliberate leak given all the rumours around. As has been pointed out, drug tests are part of the CBA and are done throughout the season randomly.
brobin
I can say without a doubt.. no one on this team is taking a performance enhancing drug...

Sir_Boagalott
w0w, this is a surprise. I'm starting to beleive that dick Mr Pound is right. Nice of the league to wait for 30 days after the all star game to do random testing on the Habs.
BCHabnut
Hahaha, I was thinking that too! The nice thing is that if everyone passes, it should silence some of this stuff.
Habsfan84
I'm worried about this. I just dont want to see any Habs get caught becuse then it will be just another f-ing thing that makes turmoil in Montreal.

I'm not worried at all since there's no reason to believe any players are on anything.
Athlétique.Canadien
They're not targeting the Habs as in "singling them out". The phases of tests that all teams go through happens at random. The rumours and what happened last week I believe simply led to a rescheduling for the Habs. I believe the NHL sent the executive security officials to Montreal and decided to do this rescheduling and test now. I don't believe that this test is one greater than they or any other team have to do. If every team receives 3 tests throughout the year, this is not a 4th. This is simply 1 of the 3. Rescheduling is all that has happened I believe. I hope
