in the top five. Maybe we'll need some more F prospects soon!

Top 2 prospects are centres, so odds seem good will get stuck with one of them.

Was surprised Maillioux ranked so high.

I would imagine Dale Hunter might have good idea how he might turn out, after coaching so many good kids for so long now...maybe he can teach him how to avoid getting knocked out and injured in a fight (maybe be bit of a wake up call?).

Or maybe he’ll teach him how to take cross checks at a star player and knock him out of a playoff series🙄

he’s been a successful coach in junior, but I really hate the guy - cheap shot no class player. Also managed to turn the greatest goal scorer of his generation, and potentially in NHL history into an average player while he was the coach of he caps.

Slightly less than 50/50, actually in terms of getting a top-two pick.

As I noted in the article, I think Mailloux has the most pure upside of any defenceman in the organization so he had to be up near the top.  He can be a top-pairing guy if he fully develops.  (That's a big if, however.)

Yes I know, am simply thinking positive happy thoughts... and sticking with 'good'. :D

Commandant had noted odds;

Last overall is ~25% chance at #1.
Its slightly over 50% at #3

Didn’t Hunter also tighten things up as well. I thought that was around when he dipped to being a 30+ goal scorer. I thought Oates just tried to flip him to the opposite wing - or do I have it backwards?

His sub-40 seasons are:

2010-11 ... 32 goals in 79 games for Boudreau

2011-12 ... 38 goals in 78 games for Boudreau/Hunter

2016/17 ... 33 goals in 78 games for Trotz

He had two other sub-40g seasons in years that were shortened (12/13 and 20/21) but both were over 40g/82gms

Joshua Roy had 3 goals today.

That secured him first in the QMJHL in points with 119 and second in points per game.  Six assists from Xavier Simoneau moved him up to third in points per game as well.

Something doesn't quite look right with that Armia one as he's Finnish,, not a Swede or Czech.  That's a tune-up for the Worlds of which he'll be attending.  There won't be many Canadiens representatives in that tournament.
