Although it was a very boring period, it was a great one by the Habs who kept Carolina quiet for almost the entire frame.  Hudon's having a nice game, better than what Andrighetto was bringing.

Is Andrighetto done?  Once Lehkonen/Flynn come back, he gets sent down but does he need to pass through waivers again?

Andrighetto's waiver situation will depend on NHL days/games played at the time that they want to send him down.  If he is up for 29 days or less and plays nine or fewer games this stint, he'll be exempt.  (It's worth noting that these days/games will count against his waiver clock if he's called up again later on this year; I don't think he qualified for an emergency recall when he was brought up.)

Of course.  Down 2-1 and haven't threatened in Carolina end in awhile.  I hate these guys sometimes.  ATTACK, goddamnit....attack hard.  Blasting away from the perimeter is not going to get it done.

Therrien doesn't know how to manage end games.  We should have had a sixth attacker for the extended offensive zone shift where Gally hit the post and Markov was in alone.  Instead we get barely 40 seconds of 6 on 5 with possession in the zone.  Really dumb.

Can't complain about the overall effort though, Montoya let in some softies and we were locking Caronlina down otherwise.  Patches is so snakebitten. Really like some plays that Hudon made in the offensive zone, and he seems to have a decent shot.

Look at the players who were lighting it up at the start of the year, come back down to earth

They look just like last years team.

It's honestly frustrating to watch them.

All righty then, that will be quite enough of that Captain Kirk let's go kick some ass. There "NO EXCUSES" (don't bother I already know what you are going to say)  for this team. Kirk get them straightened out. Don's uncle go drink some more Scotch. MB go get us another top 4 D. Rads get the fork out of bed and go to work.:1gohabs:

Bad games happen.

Only real concern here is just how bad they've looked when Radulov is out. Is the offense really that dry when one top 6 forward goes down?

I don't even consider tonight a bad game to be honest.

Ward had a great game.  It happens, sometimes the other team's goalie is going to stand on his head.

I thought we were the better team overall. The team came out flat in the third and a couple lucky bounces go Carolina's way.

We hit like 4 goal posts and missed the net a couple times. If any of those go in it's a different game. Beaulieu and Gally need to bury those shots.

Is Montoya gonna make it till end of season with the Habs?

It's safe to assume he will.  I'd go as far as to say that there's still a really good chance he's going to get a contract extension sometime early in the new year (the expansion draft factor - they have to expose someone and right now, the only goalie eligible to be exposed is Price).

Did you just sprain your ankle jumping off the Habs bandwagon?

But Montoya does seem to be a good impersonation of Condon...start out on fire for a few games and then one softie or more starts going through him.

Compare Galchenyuk and Desharnais' minutes if you want to goto sleep miserable.

Desharnais would be fine as an offensive bottom-6er if we didn't know for certain that Therrien would prefer him out there over Chucky.

Well, he is outscoring Pleks, but DD is still worthless, how many soft perimeter players can one team have?

Byron, Mitchell Danault have twice as many goals as Pleks, PAcs and DD at a fraction of the cost. That's the big problem
