I agree on the number of contracts, or "contracts space", or roster spots:

Signed:

Monahan-Suzuki-Caufield
Newhook-Dach-Anderson

Hoffman-Dvorak-Gallagher
Pezzetta-Evans-Armia

Slafkovsky

Matheson-Barron
Guhle-Savard
[Harris/Xhekaj/Edmundson] -Kovacevic

kept to watch games from gallery: Wideman

RFAs: Harvey-Pinard,Ylönen

LOVE the  s ... although I would suggest Armia is perhaps more deserving than Hoffman ... his AAV is $1.1M less but he has another year left and is IMO less tradeable ... if Hoffman is healthy and has 8/9/10/+ goals by the trade deadline he will have trade value, especially with 50% retained.

Wings seem to of done well at the draft.

Danielson sounds like a nice player and Swede-d is pretty shifty.

Then they had enough picks to even trade down from 43rd pick.

For anyone wondering, we will have some more draft coverage on the main site at some point.  I have a full article dedicated to Reinbacher's selection and one with some thoughts on the Day 2 group.  Not sure when these will run just yet but we will have some post-draft stuff this year after skipping it last year.

Arizona might have passed on him simply because he apparently made it clear he didn't want to go there (or Washington, for that matter, which comes as a bit of a surprise).

How common is it for draftees to pick and choose where they're willing to go? If it's highly uncommon, then it *might* align nicely with the narrative that he's an entitled little sh*t.

Most 17 year olds are entitled little shits.

That said with all the bad things Whitney and co have said about the KHL over the years, Im surprised that they would get any inside info on what KHL coaches say on a player.

After seeing that video all I can think it that its too bad that Brian Burke wasn't involved in this draft and wasn't able to interview Michkov.  Burke would have likely updated the status of his worst pre-draft interview ever from Yakipov to Michkov.
