DON
Would of been nice to be running out this line for the last 18 games;Newhook-Dach-Roy Oh well, hope the Habs keep it close and score a few.

It's working pretty well even with Armia. Am happy to see that St-Louis has stepped away from the forward line blender for the time being! Prime Minister Koivu
What a pass by Slafkovsky to start that play and what a goal by Matheson
The Chicoutimi Cucumber
Helluva goal right there by the forces of justice. Slaf/CC/Matheson each made great plays to put those pusbags on ther heels
dlbalr
They were good in the first half of the period but really started to slow down after that, letting the Leafs find their skating legs a bit.
Prime Minister Koivu
Leafs had a hard time with the Suzuki line and it feels good to have a good first line again - it’s been a long time.

Commandant
Xhekaj having a rough one. Got bailed out on his first big mistake but the second big one ends in a goal. He cant keep letting McCann behind him.

He needs to find consistency. His ceiling is significant IMHO, but his floor is somewhat low, so he can't afford to hit the latter too often. Prime Minister Koivu
Savard isn’t having his best game either. Leafs are beating Savard, Xhekaj with speed and they just can’t keep up. Im expecting a feisty third
dlbalr
St. Louis may need to juggle the defensive rotation to keep Xhekaj/Savard away from that 3rd line and try them against the 2nd line instead. By the way, Toronto has a power play from that late scrum.
The Chicoutimi Cucumber
Despite a long run of mediocrity, Domi doesn't seem to have lost his wheels. It hurts to have that puke score a big goal on us.
Prime Minister Koivu
That 6 on 4 was pretty sucky. Leafs third line gave the Habs a tough time and we had no answer. Fun, hard fought game anyway

At some point, when you have multiple players in front, shoot for the rebound, getting the defence moving. They played right into Toronto's hands in that final stretch. tomh009
The Leafs really should have been called for that slash on Armia's stick ... although it probably wouldn't have changed the result.

It was fun to see the big line giving the Leafs fits all night, though. And yet another 1-goal loss.

The one super positive thing was that the great Austin Mathews and his first line could not handle the Suzuki line. Suzuki line crushed the leafs super line. Habs have a legitimate first line that competes with the best players out there. Now all the Habs need are three more great lines…and I think Dach might help us in that pursuit

The Habs have played all the good teams tough (ie. Florida, Tampa, Carolina, Toronto) which is a good sign, I think we all agree that Dach is such a key. If I have one wish for next year it's that Dach can stay healthy so we can at least find out what we have. A 2nd wish for next year would be for Florida to tank but that is likely wishful thinking as they have a very strong team.
