Butterface
Not sure how the GameScore card will look. The LSD line looked like it had some similar Dzone issues, but Ozone looked better.
Sir_Boagalott
Laine summed it up the best: “I just feel like we have an attacking mindset, just try to shoot pucks. Obviously a heck of a pass from Suzy & a great keep in from Laner…Personally I don’t really care that I scored cause the rest of that period was so bad…”
Prime Minister Koivu
Anyone paired with Barron tends to find themselves at the bottom of the stats page! Interesting stat card
The Chicoutimi Cucumber
Didn’t watch this one, but yes, Barron blows. Sounds like Dach had quite an eventful game, whether setting up the Ducks with scoring chances or scoring on his own. At least he’s involved 🤷♂️ I’ve been saying for a while, this team needs to start winning games, not against the Washingtons, but against bad teams. Good that we eked this one out. 3-1 since Laine’s return, right? And could easily have won against WASH if we’d capitalized on one of four breakaways. Not bad. Prime Minister Koivu
What was weird for me was listening to the commentators praise Newhook and how positive his contributions to the first line has been. WHAT? Newhook continues to buzz around doing nothing with great speed and tenacity. Put Slafkovsky back on that first line.

The NHL needs to put a stop to falling back in your own zone in OT. Like the NBA, can't fall back beyond the red line with puck control. ASAP. The other idea I hear a lot is a shot clock. That would stop the long trips back to your zone while your line changes. Whatever the solution is, there needs to be changes for next season
DON
OT kinda pissed me off and didnt even watch the shootout. I guess will need some more rules added to it, or change points for win/loss and none for just getting to OT, not an original thought i know. 3-on-3 can be very entertaining. Interesting stat card the kid made a horrible turnover on his first shift and seemed to be fighting the puck most of the evening. He had some flashes when in the offensive zone but was definitely not comfortable on his own end. L-E-A-R-N-I-N-G is tough

I've lost any hope he will earn a regular spot.

I still remember how Kulak and others played earlier in their career and how much value they gained after a couple of years, just from experience
Commandant
Kulak was always better than Barron has played. Barron already needs waivers, in a year he's gonna need a qualifying offer as an RFA. Time is working against him, if he hasn't shown big improvement by the deadline or summer, I say deal him. There just isn't room for a purely offensive D, who is a defensive liability, on a roster where Hutson and Mattheson already monopolize the PP time, and Mailloux is knocking on the door too. 1

Yup, just don't see where he fits in. If he was a LD there would be zero chance he fits in. Mailloux has some defensive things to work on as well but he is younger, tougher and brings more of a physical presence.
