ehjay
I wish Kosty a return to game as he was before getting injured. Maybe he can go get 4pts to Go Habs Go!!
Commandant
The top 2 lines are not really producing right now. Ive never liked gionta with pleks and cammy and patch, dd, cole has certainly slowed down. Last game we saw the fourth line get thge only goal. Against carolina we were bad on the top 2 lines but cammy got a tip in, the other two goals were a shorty by eller, and a goal from moen. The bruins shut us out before that. Maybe some patented martin juggling is in order. Id flip cole and gionta to ensure there is size on every line.
Colin
No doubt Martin will place blame on Eller for the Habs woes and reduce his ice time in favour of a significant increase for Desh, who is obviously the future Habs #1 centre. I also think that, when Markov is healthy, we'll see him play down low on the PP to allow Plex to continue his rapid progression at the point. The Chicoutimi Cucumber
We're .666 since The Slump, gang. Let's keep some perspective here. We're in tough tonight against what might be the best team in hockey. The secret will not be offence but rather to play the kind of hermetic defensive game we know we can, and then to get opportunistic scoring. I'd feel better about our prospects for the latter if Gomez were healthy and playing the way he was before he pulled his groin, and if Cammy were not in a sustained stupor. But we can win this thing if we bring our A game.

I have to admit, I'd like to see that for just 1 game. I think it'd throw the opposition for a loop.

dlbalr
Should be good for a few PK goals against as well. Not necessarily, Plekanec has been reacting defensively on the point better than he was early on. The fact that Markov would be down low would also shift the passing focus low instead of point-to-point.
Habsy
I'm with Mr. Cucumber on this. We bring A game, we can surprise. Plus I believe we have the better goaltending. Call it parity or mediocrity, but any team can win on any night.

Commandant
Neil and Letang help that cause Plus Fleury has really grown into a very ood or elite goalie that is overshadowed by the star power on the rest of their team. He has struggled against the Habs at times (and lets hope it continues) but overall he's really good.

He has struggled against the Habs at times (and lets hope it continues) but overall he's really good. Something I do respect about Pittsburgh is their non star players play a simple game. They win because you don't seem them make to many mistakes. Limited mistakes, solid goaltending and a bit of offensive punch is how they have been winning so far. Now that Crosby and Malkin are back in the fold that fire power is quadrupled. Though I never have liked Crosby or Pittsburgh, they no question have a very very strong solid team right down to the fourth line.

Agreed, they have a really nice top 4 there when you add Orpik and Letang to those two. Niskanen - Engelland - and Lovejoy gives as 5,6,7 are underrated and their defence core is one of the best in the conference. Plus they have Despres in the pipeline. Pens got lucky with all those high picks, but Shero has also built a nice team around them, as seen when two of those top picks couldn't play and they still won without them. I would take Gomez over that finn centre any day. I keep waiting for Cammalleri to light it up and had predicted Subban would get 15-18 goals and Cammalleri to get 30+ this year, but i am looking out to lunch on those predictions so far, but if one or both do start chipping in, instead of Gorges and Moan ( or along with), then i think the wins will come and Price wont have to stand on his head every night.
