dlbalr
Calgary lost 7-1 last night, snapping their winning streak. As a result, Montreal is now tied for the longest active win streak in the NHL. (They're tied with Columbus who is using their fourth-string goalie, a guy who hadn't played in almost as long as Hammond.)
dlbalr
Wild one in Detroit tonight - Toronto led 7-2 after 40 minutes and then Detroit popped four quick ones in the third. It's now 9-7 Leafs.

Or a "speak no evil" coach ... Laurant Dauphin is getting more icetime since MSL decided to use him
tomh009
It may be less of a matter of Poehling playing badly, and more of Dauphin playing well (which he certainly has done).

Poehling was given some good icetime before, sees to look good; but just not finishing any.

Commandant
I said it earlier in the year, but I've been impressed by Dauphin. I don't mind him as a fourth liner going forward.

In this case, Pezzetta makes a bit of sense given Calgary's physicality.

Yup, Gordin is a bust for one.. not sure how he's even on the chart. And the order on many of them is weird.
alfredoh2009
I wanted the Habs to trade for Juolevi a few years ago, now he is waived... bullet dodged or great opportunity to get him for free now? Can he replace Kulak next year if we trade him at the deadline? dlbalr
I would say the fact that Vancouver gave him away for next to nothing and that Florida is now ready to give him away for nothing is a red flag in terms of his long-term upside. If Montreal was to move a blueliner for a pick or prospect between now and 2 ET tomorrow, sure, I'd put in a claim. He's worth a look for free and Laval's pretty banged up defensively right now. But I wouldn't be penciling him into any future plans beyond this season. He hasn't shown that he's good enough to replace anyone at this point. He will be 24 in 2 months. the change of scenery for a former top prospect can sometimes work, but its really rare. Most busts remain busts. Commandant
I'd rather use a contract slot on someone else.... he wouldn't be my choice with our 3 spots.

dlbalr
Arizona beat Ottawa 8-5 today. How in the world did the Coyotes get eight goals on anyone? Good for them and Nick Schmaltz set a franchise record with seven points in the game.
