Well, Habs beat the Aves in Jan., wonder what odds are they will do it again.

On paper, looks pretty one-sided.

Well... not the best start.

Looked like everyone but Guhle flew the zone.

Good work Captain!

Slafkovski 1a.

Armia with his 12th & 3 shots, he is still playing well, nice bounce back for him from Laval and would be a bonus if he can do the same next season.

Newhook 6/7 on faceoffs.

Poor Pezzetta just 1:32.

The big kid tossing his weight around, good for him.

Newhook 9/11 on faceoffs.

SH goal for Mackinnon coming right up?

Or can the Habs PP finish off the victory.

Feels like a solid draft position is slipping away.

Yeah, I am not crazy about getting 2 points tonight either BUT it's been impressive how well they have played against some really good teams lately. It's starting to look like they have a solid goaltending tandem and they have a young mobile defense that's only going to get better. They just need more secondary scoring.  Progress is definitely being made.

Arizona is winning tonight and Ottawa has been winning lately too.

Plus Seattle and Pittsburgh both won tonight as the Habs were starting to creep up on those teams. Habs will almost for sure be in the 5-7 spot before the lottery. They will get a good player regardless but the 5 spot would be nicer.

Top Six Minutes: Joel Armia gets winner versus Colorado again (habseyesontheprize.com)

Newhook may end up being a centre?

Gallagher was never quick and has lost 1/2 step but still doing good work around the net, Armia is showing off his puck skills and overpowering d-men on the forecheck, 2nd line doing fine (would be better if they were the 3rd line) and gave the Aves trouble.

I think Guhle was on most (all?) of time vs Mackinnon, fun test and GUhle almost got close up view of highlight backhand goal, Mackinnon is a pretty quick and strong player.

Had odd feeling when Xhekaj tossed poor Lehkonen to the ice, he was a good Hab.

It was a fun game to be at last night. First time in eons the Habs came away with a win in Colorado. There was a nice tribute video for Newhook, and he interacted with a few fans wearing his jersey during warmups. I was a bit surprised at the amount of "give me a stick" type signs that folks were holding up during warmups, I guess pictures or pucks isn't enough anymore to satiate some greedy fans.

The Habs have a strong skating defense. Guhle and Matheson are fun to watch.
