Chris Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 60 shot blow out 6-2 Caps. It won't be any easier on Saturday. 4-1 Wings Hopefully i'm wrong and the Goalies can pull something out. Quote
Chris Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Wow, bold pick, would you put some money on that pick? Quote
saskhab Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 When Ovechkin gets on the ice against Bergeron-O'Byrne, it'll be in the back of the net before those guys take a single stride backwards. Quote
jrhabs Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Scary two nights... habs will be on their heels the whole time trying to limit the damage. We may wake up on Sunday morning handshaking the leafs in the cellar :nono: Quote

The Chicoutimi Cucumber Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 I have an oddly good feeling about this one...but what that's based on, other than Price's play of late, I don't know... Quote
saskhab Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 I have an oddly good feeling about this one...but what that's based on, other than Price's play of late, I don't know... Low expectations, and the players rallying behind them, maybe? Quote
Habsfan Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 UNless Price can play like GOD, the Habs will most likely lose this game. 5-2 for the Caps! I have a better feeling against the Red Wings. Detroit is beatable this year, but Washington is just too strong! Quote
simonus Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 I'm gonna be stupidly optimistic and say 4-3 shootout win. Quote
redondo Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Two points out of these two games would be great, I too think we have more of a chance against the Wings, but if Price plays the way he has we can steal ANY given game. Kosty will be key, along with the disciplined defensive play. GO HABS GO! Quote
JCPetit Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 When Ovechkin gets on the ice against Bergeron-O'Byrne, it'll be in the back of the net before those guys take a single stride backwards. Hopefully, Martin will see to that. Quote
The Chicoutimi Cucumber Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Low expectations, and the players rallying behind them, maybe? Probably that. I've seen that movie a few times - heavily favoured team comes in taking things too lightly, underdog plays above its head and gets great goaltending. This just feels like that kind of scenario, but it's probably just wishful thinking masquerading as intuition. Quote

Only Markov can handle Ovechkin. When the cat's away, the mice will play. Quote
Seb Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Yeah. this could be the title of the Florida Panthers biography. Only Markov can handle Ovechkin. When the cat's away, the mice will play. Amen. This has the potential to be ugly. Quote
JCPetit Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 I have an oddly good feeling about this one...but what that's based on, other than Price's play of late, I don't know... Price has been excellent lately, but he still hasn't scored. Quote
lazy26 Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 The Caps are pretty banged up too, so basically I think it'll come down to whether the Habs score outscore Ovechkin. GO HABS GO!!! Quote
Dalhabs Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 (edited) Im optimistic... because I made a big bet that Caps beat us and Wings beat the Panthers and hopefully will get 2.72x my bet. But if the Habs see to it to ruin my bet by getting a win I wont cry Edited November 20, 2009 by Dalhabs Quote
bar Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Wow, bold pick, would you put some money on that pick? Haha want to do a sig bet? The loser has to put whatever the winner wants (within Forum rules) in their signiture! Quote
ForumGhost Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Habs win 3-2. Goals by Gomez, Latendresse and Kostitsyn. Quote
Chris Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Sure, i have no idea how do that but i'm in. Quote
BCHabnut Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 (edited) I'm very afraid. Almost glad I'm working nightshift for this one. 3-1 Caps if Price is amazing. 5-1 Caps if he is not. Edited November 20, 2009 by BCHabnut Quote
bar Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Haha you're on Chris. Come on guys, injuries piling up, no one expects us to win, the perfect environment to succeed. The worst that happens is Ovekchin pulls some crazy moves and we get to see an interesting game, a game no one expects us to win, pressure is all on them. To be honest, the way we've played so far this season, if we feel like we can't win against teams with better records than us, than we wont win any! Have some faith! Quote
