Lovett's Magnatones
The Habs head into MSG looking to steal a victory. The Habs have carried the play for the last five periods, and won two of the last three, save for the overtime heroics of Quebecois Superstar and Mighty Mite, Marty St Louis. The Bell Center was once again a house of horrors for the King, as the Swedish pretty-boy/wearer of huge pads skated off the ice like a disgraced broadway blueberry halfway through the game. A wacky game that featured up and down play, and 11 goals, saw the Habs almost blow the plot, until an unlikely hero emerged. Rene Bourque scored three goals to seal the Habs victory, and reestablish his Conn Smythe hopes. The lineups will feature two changes, Raphael Diaz is in for Dirty Rat John Moore, and Brandon Prust slots in for Michael Bournival. (Not confirmed). dlbalr
We could see a third change as well depending on Emelin's status. He is with the team and if he's healthy, I imagine he'll go back in for Beaulieu.

The Chicoutimi Cucumber
I'd leave Bournival in, but whatever. Games don't get any bigger. As in Round Two, the Habs have steadily gotten stronger as the series grinds on. Therrien has made his adjustments and now it's up to the two teams on the ice. We have a solid (but hardly rock-solid) chance. BELIEVE!!!

He is with the team and if he's healthy, I imagine he'll go back in for Beaulieu. Well, Emelin's not at the morning skate so Beaulieu may stay in. Weise is absent as well and there are rumblings he has a concussion (or at least concussion-like symptoms). If he's out, Prust will take his place and Bournival will still play. I was going to pull out a couple of lines from this GDT Lovett's , but the whole dang thing was just too good. Luv it! dlbalr
Prust is skating on the 3rd line which is a bit surprising. I thought Vanek would move back onto the 3rd line with Prust playing on the 4th.

Habsfan
RDS just confirmed that Weise is out for tonight. Looks like Bournival will stay in the game! Let's hope that Prust's return will spark something with our boys. We need to come out strong and we need to score early!
PMAC
The key: we need to score early--often would be nice too Three other keys: 1. Would the real Tomas Vanek please score a %^!&@@!!! goal! 2. I hope we see the seemingly disinterested, soft on the puck Diaz we despised and not the effective 2nd PP quarterback many of us despaired of losing for Weise--before we knew Weise 3. WIN !!! Toronthab
Weise won't play tonight. Damn... he was so good in last game. a real shame. Dirty hits should warrant much stiffer penalties. Concussions cripple. RDS just confirmed that Weise is out for tonight. Looks like Bournival will stay in the game! Let's hope that Prust's return will spark something with our boys. We need to come out strong and we need to score early! Amen.

The more I fret about the vanishing Vanek, the more I am convinced that he is probably playing hurt, perhaps due to the PK hit as has been suggested. He is less than a shadow out there and he had a lot more moxy (whatever "moxy"might be) before the playoffs.
JCPetit
Losing Weise for tonight's game is a blow. I know that we are not talking about Pax or Subban, but that guy is a revelation this spring. He not only is big and fast, but also has good hockey sense and better skills that we thought.

JCPetit
Totally agree, but the fact is that we should be able to win an everything-on-the-line game without Dale Weise. We should but it just got harder. Without Price and Weise, and if Vanek is playing hurt, we will need a bigger effort from everybody else. Not easy but feasible. Let's cross our fingers. JoeLassister
We definitely need a good contribution tonight from Pax-Desharnais-Gallagher (or any winger that will be used with 67 and 51). We need 3-4 goals tonight. MSG is a nasty place for a rookie goaltender, even more on an elimination game like this one.
Lovett's Magnatones
My Keys to Victory: 1. Surviving the first five minute onslaught. 2. Keeping Bo and Book away from the Ranger's top line. 3. Chip-chase-punish defense early. 4. A goal from either Gionta, Vanek or Briere.
Toronthab
Just watching some RDS highlights from the Boston series... .HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Anybody wanna play "Find the Beanie-Meanies"?? Can't see any......
Toronthab
I think that recovery from our 5 minute lapse laughs last game... such alliteration... has been good for the niggly little doubts that creep around in all of our skulls... I'm pretty positive though NY will be going freekin nuts trying to finish it... Whoooo Hoooo!
Commandant
Oh man.... I was really confident before game 5, I knew that was one we would win. But this game scares me.... I think we need to get a big night from Tokes, and some goals from vanek and patches.... Plus 30+ minutes from PK Subban. Gotta put everything on the line to win this one. We can do it though.... Go Habs Go.
