DON Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 I think Pitt and Islanders will be interesting series. Isles just went up 3-2, good to see...i gotta pull for Islanders this year. Quote
tomh009 Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 4-3 OT win for the Isles. Columbus took the first game from Tampa, without any contribution from their big guns. And Winnipeg lost 2-1 to the Blues ... the only goal from the recently-much-maligned Laine. Quote
Chris Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 love to see tampa out round 1, Kind of hoping calgary goes far, Quote
Helmethead Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 I’d love it if the Islanders won. Their fans have eaten plenty of crap over the past 30 yrs. And it would also be a huuuuge FU to JT. 1 Quote
The Chicoutimi Cucumber Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Dallas, Isles, and Columbus all score surprising victories. Curiouser and curiouser... Nashville puzzles me. How a team with that blueline can struggle to score is beyond me. I agree that it'd be great to see the Isles advance (I'm sick of Pittsburgh). And if TO loses in Round One, that combination would be AWESOME. ? And if Columbus does manage to upset TB, then they become instant Cup faves in my book, and KooKoo morphs into a genius GM who, far from wasting young assets on a desperate lunge for a futile playoff, made bold moves and got rewarded. It's a fascinating scenario. (I wonder if all the expectations have resulted in TB being wound too tight?) Quote
Metallica Posted April 12, 2019 Posted April 12, 2019 How much would you offer Marner on a offer sheet??? It would be 11+I would think, i would do it just to get Toronto to match it and handcuff them. If they don't match it giving up the picks are ok with me. Seeing Domi/Marner on a line together would be so nice ? Quote
DON Posted April 13, 2019 Author Posted April 13, 2019 5-1 for Columbus and 3-1 for Islanders, interesting. Quote
DON Posted April 13, 2019 Author Posted April 13, 2019 Shchefeile scores to tie it up 3-3, go jets Quote
BCHabnut Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 It's disappointing the jets are back by 2. I feel like they are the only team that all of Canada can get behind. Every other Canadian team has a Canadian rival. Quote
johnnyhasbeen Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 Tampa needs a playoff goalie. Time to make them an offer of one of our stockpile for some scoring? Quote

The goaltending has been sub-par, but it's not just the goaltending...that team is being outworked all over the ice. They seem to be a mentally soft bunch, and I question Cooper's coaching as he has seemed either too stubborn to make strategic adjustments, or is downright incapable. Epic choke job so far. Quote

BCHabnut Posted April 14, 2019 Posted April 14, 2019 Pasternak just hit muzzin with the identical hit byron did. Guess ge had to fight him now. Quote

After watching the past two Caps games, they still seem 'hungry ' to me...not always the case with defending champs. This bodes well for them. Quote

zumpano21 Posted April 14, 2019 Posted April 14, 2019 Something wrong in TB. Down 2-0 in the series. 3 shots on goal in the first period of game 3. Quote
DON Posted April 15, 2019 Author Posted April 15, 2019 3 straight goals by Jets in 2nd and look in control of game 3, 3-1...for now. Go Columbus Go! Are Pens going to be swept? Quote
