Game #46 - Canadiens vs Bruins

GHT120

The Canadiens practiced at TD Garden ahead of their matchup with the Bruins on Saturday.

Head coach Martin St-Louis confirmed during his pregame press conference that forward Josh Anderson will return to the lineup in Boston. The 29-year-old forward has not played since Jan. 11 against the Sharks. He's been evaluated on a day-to-day basis (lower. body) since then. Anderson is slated to play his 499th NHL game.

Samuel Montembeault will start for the Canadiens for the seventh time in 11 games.

Here’s the projected lineup for tonight’s game:

Forwards Jesse Ylonen and Tanner Pearson, as well as defenseman Johnathan Kovacevic rotated in on occasion. None of the three are expected to play against the Bruins.

With Pearson and Ylonen pretty much set to return any game now, will this be Roy's last game b4 getting sent back down? I would think he will need a real good showing vs BOS to stick around longer

I think this is probably the end for Roy (or soon, whenever Pearson returns from IR - that's the trigger point) but he has shown enough to warrant another look later in the year when needed.  That's already mission accomplished on his front.

Ylonen?

He has played in the every game since mid-November ... I think Pearson is the only injured player likely to return anytime soon ... the question will be when Pearson returns whether Roy goes back to Laval and Ylonen is the 13th forward or HuGo is confident Ylonen has done little enough to clear waivers, Roy stays in the lineup. and someone else sits (assuming no further injury)

Hmmm...not Harris's finest moment - LOL

He and Barron have both looked weak for a long time now....why they continually play while Kovacevic languishes in the pressbox and Wifi is left in Laval is beyond me.

WiFi is there to develop his game for the long-term benefit of both the player and the Habs ... rushing him back because other players are not performing does not support those goals.

If Roy can turn Armia into a goal-scorer he may be earning a full-time spot in Montreal.

Hrudy is either really hung over, half cut, or about to have a jammer. Dude's face is beat red.

Maybe he ate too many of those donuts they were babbling about?

It's nice to hear them saying good things about the Habs, but they appeared not to know the game's actual score.

Just bizarre stuff

They had a panel last week asking if slaf should be demoted to 4th line. Hahaha

Heating up as the trade deadline gets closer 👍

God love Josh Anderson, working over that Bruin, LOL.

Struble has been an irritant tonight as well.
