If Hughes can fly and Pettersson can fly then Skinner is in trouble. I'm thinking Pettersson is but 1 hit away from being rendered completely ineffective. To put him into perspective: he's 6'2" 176 lbs so he's got 6" on Caufield but he's only 1 lbs heavier. Hughes kept getting hammered by the Preds so there's no way he's at 100%. I don't imagine their next series will go to 6 games.

I don't imagine their next series will go to 6 games. I was watching a Canuck player being interviewed after the game and couldn't help but notice Pettersson walk by in a t-shirt. He is skinny. There has been a lot of discussion about size and drafting players and while Peterrsson is reasonably tall, there isn't much meat there. You wonder if the tough physical grind of the playoffs will just wear him down whereas a guy like Draisaitl is so tough to handle because of his strength. I really like the Oilers in this series but I also liked Winnipeg in the other series and we saw how that turned out. LOL
Prime Minister Koivu
Edmonton is no where near as physical as Nashville. Edmonton's game strategy is about puck possession and getting the puck up ice like a tornado. Bashville is all about hard hits, grinding play, elbows, cross checking and causing as much physical harm as possible. I agree that Edmonton is a stronger team but the Canucks have weapons too and I think they will have opportunities to use those weapons this series. I agree that is should be a little more wide open series than Nashville as Edmonton plays more of a run and gun style because of their talent. It should be a fun series. Sir_Boagalott
This Leaf game should be interesting. Outside of who wins, what will the game itself be like? Will it be a 6-5 barn burner or a 5-1 routing; or a 2-1 game? No clue what will happen but I'm thinking 1 team will totally collapse but who knows. Sir_Boagalott
Hmm, well now Woll is out and Mr my tummy hurts is back in so I doubt the Leafs have a chance in this game. Ironically I tend to think they have a better chance without Mathews.
Prime Minister Koivu
Boston has been really poor at getting the puck out of their zone after gaining possession. Leafs get possession and they breakout three deep. I'm nervous

Sir_Boagalott
The Leafs are hitting hard and Pasta got smoked hard but Bos had some decent hits too. I'd say the Bruins out chanced them but the Leafs look more dangerous. The Bruins have had a ton of what I'd call far misses where they are in the correct danger spots but the puck isnt going right to them to have the play work out. Its like they are slightly out of synch.
Commandant
This ice is a disgrace. Neither team can string 3 passes together. The plays arent working out (both ways) cause the ice is a disaster. Puck is bouncing like mad.

Commandant
18000 people and 11 players in that game knew the puck was bouncing into the slot. For some reason samsonov stayed on his line instead of pushing out and grabbing it.

I think its debatable if he misplayed it. That dump in was a perfect storm, so perfect I'm sure it was deliberate set play. i.e it was shot hard into the corner at an angle that the puck came out fast and at a good distance from the net and basically went right to a racing in Pasta who was in all alone. I dont think any of that was a coincidence. They're at home and could totally practice that. Plus, the other Bruins were in good positions too. If Samsonov had left the net he might have got to the puck 1st, but Pasta would have been on him right quick and could have taken it from him, or the G might have passed it right to another Bruins player trying to clear. All the Leafs were in poor positions and numerous were skating towards where the puck was going. Just imagine the scenario if Samsonov had came out of the net and the Bruins got the puck and won the series in game 7 on an empty net goal in OT. Or he shoots it into a teammate racing in and it's an own goal into the empty net. If he had left the net theres a strong chance hilarity would have ensued. I hope the Stars win too. Commandant
What are you talking about. 6 paragraphs about a simple play. All samsonov has to do is poke check the puck before pasta gets there. Thats it.... You get these weird theories all the time. Did you ever play hockey? Like serious hockey? Not when you were 5 but like as a teenager in a competitive league? Prime Minister Koivu
In that play it was Samsonov’s job to stop pasta from cutting across the net. Poke check or paddle down to prevent the movement. Brodeur was a master at that and thankfully Samsonov isn’t. I was surprised that pasta put on the speed to get the puck and even attempt such a move. Now it’s up to Florida to kill the Bruins
Prime Minister Koivu
Tried to change the poll to Edmonton or Vancouver and it just dropped the poll unfortunately. @dlbalr or @tomh009 is it possible to add a new poll?

Habs Fan in Edmonton
Who I cheer for next is totally based on improving the Habs draft position. Therefore I hope Boston beats Florida which is unlikely then loses after that. I hope the Stars lose to either Vegas or the Avs and I hope Edmonton beats Vancouver.
