I think it will be really tough to trade Dvorak right now with his contract, likely way easier and better asset management to do it at the trade deadline. It's only 1 more year. They don't necessarily have to do much of anything to get Kapanen on the roster. If they want, they could just slide him in Harvey-Pinard's spot. Not ideal but if they want to keep him around or evaluate a little longer into the season, that's the quick way to do it. And by then, someone else might be hurt/injured. Playing with Armia/Gallagher or Roy (and, uh, Anderson) is not a grinder role, there should be offensive opportunities there even if not PP. And PK opportunities, of course ...
