Easy Ryder
All star game is a disgrace to hockey, it doesn't show the real hockey we see all year long. I would prefer Markov to rest, and hopefully every other habs to rest, except Huet for team representation. Kovy is playing great and we need him in great shape for the second half. So one habs will get my vote, Huet. And i wish for a major pull of voting for another defensemen so Markov keep his shape, with the heavy calendar end of january, feb and march is going to get tough on our key players. sbhatt
Mine too! Does anyone think he can score 40 goals? If he stays injury free, he'll definitely pop 40 playing the way he's been playing.

MFT77
Just fired off another 50 votes for Kovy, Koivu, Markov, and Huet. Keep the Kovy write-in votes going! Wouldn't that be something if he got in. The way he is playing he will have a good chance to go.

brboo
In the updated vote totals from nhl.com Markov is still leading all defense with a 50,000 vote cushion over chara. Huet is still leading the goalies, and Koivu and Kovalev are both ahead of sundin and blake. http://www.nhl.com/nhl/app/?service=page&a...rticleid=345422

SAKS-AVENUE
Keep reminding us. I forgot all about it. Put in another five for all our Habs. Go KOVY GO!!!!!
Punkned
Kovy lost a rank, he was 12th and he's now 13th, just behind Mats Sundin... Eastern rankings VOTE!!
Fanpuck33
This is why I despite fan voting. Markov is the only guy on the Habs who deserves any votes. I almost wish Rory would have been voted in last year, to show that the league needs to do away with fan voting. The All-Star game should display the league's best players, not just the most popular players. At least in the NHL the fans tend to do a decent job of getting deserving guys in the lineup, it's much worse in the NFL and MLB.
MAK
although I think kovy is a great player, his numbers aren't good enough. he's behind brind'amour for pete's sake!!
Punkned
I don't think that numbers are the sole criterion to judge if a player deserves to play at the all star game. The point of the all star game, as far as I'm concerned, is to show flashy moves. I want Kovalev in because he's the premier stickhandler in the league, not because he scored 14 goals in 33 games or has over 800 NHL points. I voted for Datsuyk over Zetterberg because the former is more spectacular. I want Ovechkin and Kovalchuk over Alfredsson or Heatley. Not because they have more goals or are better players, but because they're more flashy and have an entertaining attitude. It's not about performance or value of the players, its about the show! smon
And really, I gotta wonder if Markov is the best defenseman in the Eastern Conference. Carbonneau's already been complaining that the all-star thing might have gotten to his head and for the previous couple of weeks he was not good at all.
