BrenDittero Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 (edited) That is a Stanley Cup contending roster right there lol. At this point I guess we have to take what we can get. Here's hoping for another 2 points tonight. Edited March 17, 2011 by BrenDittero Quote

bbp Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 Well we get to see if Palushaj can hold his own at the NHL level! Could be interesting with Lars Eller as our second line center as well, see how he does. Quote

Could be interesting with Lars Eller as our second line center as well, see how he does. I always look forward to seeing how callups perform and, honestly, Montreal's fortune in that respect has been astonishing. Pacioretty, Weber, Desharnais and White have performed admirably and have gone a long way to solidfying their place in the NHL, albeit to varying degrees. Having said that, this lineup is a bit too green for my taste. Too green even for St. Patty's day. Quote
Habsfan Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 That's 9 regulars who are out for tonights game. We should call them the Montreal Bulldogs! Quote
Sir_Boagalott Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 I'm excited to see Palushaj play. Habs gave up D'Ags for him, and D'Ags has been doing decent for the Blues. I'm also highly interested in Dawes, who did really well in junior, but didnt do much at the NHL level. I figure his lack of NHL success is because he needs to be on the right team with the right system, and be given the right role and hopefully he's a match with the Habs. Typically throw in guys in trades the Habs make generally work out pretty good for the Habs. I'm not exactly sure why they got Dawes, but I bet there is a specific reason, which we may get to see tonight. Quote
Habsfan84 Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 I have a feeling the call-ups will do well for us. I think the Cammi, Eller and Kost line will be our best. Quote
dlbalr Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 New padding at the Bell Centre tonight, guessing it was approved between now and after Tuesday's game. http://yfrog.com/h8cq5qsj Quote
Colin Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 I knew if I waited long enough I'd get to see the Bulldogs. Quote
brobin Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 Haven't seen a roster like that since training camp. Quote
brobin Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 I am getting sick of tsn calling the chara hit.. "that collision with Chara".. it was a HIT!!!! New padding tonight, which will help a bit, but probably not when you get put in to the glass like Pacs did... Tonight would be a good night for Gomez, Gionta, and Cammy to make an appearance. Quote
Dalhabs Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 Yay! Padding! Now the Bruins think it wont hurt people anymore and start to use it frequently. Quote
brobin Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Subban is on an offensive tear tonight... some pretty setups. Shame Rolo is pitching a great game so far. Quote
brobin Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Amazing how many times you can whack, cross check, and hold Subban without getting a call. Two hand retaliation to get a call. ... wow.. tossed him.. That should give us a chance.I just hope PK is okay. Quote
BrenDittero Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 (edited) Hope Subban is ok. Good night Lecavalier Edited March 18, 2011 by BrenDittero Quote
dlbalr Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 It'll be a while yet for the PP as Subban got the old fashioned 2-minutes-for-getting-slashed call. Good period overall from the Habs though. Quote
hab29RETIRED Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Hope Subban is ok. Good night Lecavalier Damn Vinny How many injuries are we going to have. To me that one's on the refs. Why the hell wouldn't they make a call 40 seconds earlier???? No, as usual, they swallow their whistle until things start getting out of hand. Quote

dlbalr Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Weber might have to play now, already he's been benched. Just 3 minutes in the 1st period and shockingly no PP time. The guy's basically a PP specialist, so they don't use him there. If Subban's not back, he'll have to see PP time now...I would think. Quote

The slash is another all together. Maybe the refs could have blown the whistle sooner but Lecavalier is ultimately responsible for being and idiot. edit: missed Subban slash Lecavalier first. Hope to see Subban back in the second. Edited March 18, 2011 by BrenDittero Quote
dlbalr Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Subban totally deserved it. Just before, he slashed Vinny on the forearm. I know. But blow it dead when it happens. At hab29retired said, that was going on for a while. If you're going to call both, blow it dead then and there, don't wait for one to go over the top and then give both a penalty. Quote
