Petes beat Knights, Mailloux season over.

Beck will be off to Kamloops to play vs Davidson in Memorial cup.

Will Beck not be sitting out their first game (vs Seattle) because of the 2-game slew-footing suspension?

That's my understanding. Beck certainly plays on the edge. I like his intensity but he has to be more careful. I am sure he will figure it out as he is a highly intelligent guy.

Owen Beck will be allowed to play Game 1 of the Memorial Cup based on a ruling from the NHL's Department of Player Safety (seriously).  If he is set back to junior next season, he will have to sit the second game.

Nice goal, Beck shows off his great skating ability on this one.  I think Beck has one of the highest floors of any Habs prospect as his defensive acumen/work ethic/faceoff ability/excellent skating seem like a perfect fit for the #3 center role, maybe higher if his offensive abilities continue to improve.  Whereas guys like Roy and Farrell while more talented offensively are top 6 or bust. In my opinion.

Beck 1 sweet goal in 6-3 loss, Davidson 1 nice assist in the win.

Beck also another risky (dumb?) play, with a hard kneeing penalty.

Very happy to have seen Canada win gold in person! Another solid game by Montembeault, a great goal by Toffoli (memories of all those 2020-21 SHGs) and a great defensive effort in the third to secure the victory.

Kudos to Germany (and Latvia!) for a great tournament, though.

Glad you got to see a win (with very good seats, no less).

Half-price tickets since Finland got knocked out in the quarters, probably would not have paid the asking prices if they had been in the finals.

Beck had a sweet assist on the OT winner, he looked pretty good. Kinda reminded me of Suzuki, seems a pretty calm and smart player.

Beck plays again tomorrow evening vs Davidson.

I watched part of the last two Pete’s games at the memorial cup.

I like what I see from Beck, he is not a dominant player (yet?) but he sure looks promising

I wonder if he can elevate his game like Suzuki learned to do in Junior ?

Beck 1a, Davidson 2a; both looked good in 4-1 game.

Davidson vs Patrick Roy tomorrow's final.

Nice story on Davidson.

“Of course your first-rounders, your second-rounders, third-rounders maybe make it as 16-year-olds. But it’s crazy for an undrafted player to make a team as a 16-year-old,” O’Dette said on a recent phone call. “It’s hard enough to make the WHL as a 16-year-old, but as an undrafted, unlisted, unsigned free agent? That doesn’t happen very often. But there was just something about the kid and the player.”

0pts -3 in final for Davidson, oh well.

How will his game transfer to Laval in the fall?
