Wonder what Hughes general plan for Kapanen is.

"Kapanen is currently staying with Montreal Canadiens. I would not be surprised if he goes back to Europe during the season. According to some sources, that could be as late as Valentine’s Day when the transfer window closes in Europe. From Timrå’s side, the statements are that it is Montreal or Timrå, no matter what date a decision is made, except for the February date mentioned."

This is how the Jokerit fans viewed Rotenberg while the team was still in the KHL and Rotenberg was the controlling shareholder.

Fortunately it’s only one year but the guy just seems to do what he wants.

Could be a meaningless stat depending on competition etc but this is interesting:

Koivu 1a 8:05 yesterday, 4pts in 11 gms

Anyone still want to argue he is better than his dad was at the same age.

I mean hes got lots of time and he can still be an NHLer; but no chance hes better than Saku at the same age.

I'm just hoping that he turns out to be significantly better than expected for his draft position.

He likely won't be ... but Saku was about 7 months older when drafted, almost a full hockey season

Demidov 3:17 yesterday

Today;

University Michigan at Arizona State University 5:30 pm

Michael Hage -

Boston College at Michigan State University 6:00 pm

Jacob Fowler -

Habs Prospects

Hage gets me real excited, he is dynamic.  I think there is a good chance we look back on the 24 draft as one that really turned the corner for the Habs.  Demidov and Hage could be absolute studs.

Hage 1g 1shot

Fowler 24 saves 3-0 shutout, nice start to season.

Leonard/Perreault 10 shots, James Hagens also on team, should help Fowlers W/L record.

Protz got in his 1st fight of year and instigator this week.

Thorpe 1g 2 shots, nice wrist shot off the crossbar.

Demidov's team plays at 10am today, wonder how he is taking being a bench warmer?

Hage rematch at 7pm
