Dosent seem a big issue. He is getting rookie treatment, but still playing every game and looking good in limited minutes and not in press box or junior league and is healthy. (Just wish he was on a crappy KHL team, who would miss the playoffs and have an early end to contract)

I think playing and practising with SKA benefits him at the moment, and I will not judge SKA and Roman Rotenberg at this moment but rather at the end of the season when we can see Demidov’s full development." Whereas a certain undersized defenceman jumped from college hockey to the top league in the world, and is clocking 25-30 of ice time per game. Is Demidov somehow more fragile? Or does this mean that he is not capable of playing 10 minutes a game because he is not quite 19 yet?

Which is a goofy amount (not fighting to make playoffs are they?), but for the odd game might be fine? But Hutson is the smallest d-man in the NHL (ever?) and some suggest he will likely wear out/get injured come the 2nd half of season. As small better skating rookie d-men; Makar 21:01/gm Hughes 21:53 Fox 19:17 So i think 25-30minutes /game isnt realistic or sustainable. St Louis has tried forcing rookie d-man before with injuries/poor results.
tomh009
The point is more that is Demidov only able to play five minutes per game at the KHL (let alone NHL) level?

Its cause SKA is mad that Demidov won't sign a contract extension. 1

Sadly he is only getting ice time against weak opposition (Kunlun is third or fourth from the bottom of the league).

When he's gotten more than 3 or 4 minutes, he's usually produced that game.
