So it's Dahlin clearly #1

Followed by Svechnikov and Zadina?

I believe i read those other two are more talented then the 4-10 bunch? Is that correct?

I would not mind tcachuk,

stay away from players who are going to harvard

I also love the bonus that Ottawa fell out of the top 3!!

We don’t need to think about Tkachuk at all at this point really.

Dahlin Svechnikov or Zadina will be a Hab, and that makes me reeeeal excited!

Oh well, maybe we will get it next year.

BOOOOO

Hard to be too grouchy, though, about moving up a pick - and at the expense of those sh*tbags the Sens, to boot

It will be  dahlin 1

Svechnikov 2

Zadina looks like 3... but its not clear cut.  1 and 2 are locks imo.

I dont think zadina is a lock

So with a probable 1st line lw a year away,  it might be wise to trade pacioretty early.  Try to get that centre prospect.

Ugh.....

If I am the GM I trade the pick

Probably the ideal position to consider it.

Really? 3rd overall is that bad? Develop this thought

I watched Zadina play 2 playoff games in the Q in person, and I was not impressed at all. He also doesn't fill any organizational need. Good enough?

Zednik, Zubrus, Zholtok, Zalapski - Zadina on the Habs just feels right to me.

Organizational need?  Habs need players who can score.  Zadina can do that.

I suppose the question is whether there is any prospect in that 3-7 range that projects as a top-liner or a top-pairing D-man. It doesn't *have* to be Zadina. But given that the Habs are presumably 'retooling,' not rebuilding, trading the pick to get back a young-ish player who fills one of our glaring needs could well make sense. It'll be interesting to see how MB plays it.
