AHAHAHAHAHA way to go, Columbus 😄 I take this as just more proof that the NHL is some sort of old boy's network rather than an actual meritocracy. We saw that slubberdegullion Therrien get hired by PITS even as the excellent Alain Vigneault toiled for years in the minors...or Torts get hired soon after a complete debacle in Van (although he did a good job for a while in Columbus, admittedly). For this clown Lefevbre to get hired despite five years of unmitigated incompetence at the AHL level is a disgrace.
Trizzak
Bad summer to have the last name Weber. Though he carved out a nice role as a 6-7 guy for 13 years, he played only 2 games with Pittsburgh last season.

His career is weirdly impressive...he could have dropped out of the league so easily at any give moment, yet somehow did not. alfredoh2009
Will Bitten is still playing, just re-signed with the Wild. Always happy to see an Ottawa kid doing well, his mom was a badminton coach to one of my daughters the year Will was drafted Will Bitten #Wild 1 year / 2-way contract NHL: $840,000 * Minor: $75,000 * Bitten accepted his Qualifying Offer from Minnesota.https://t.co/yfZHBAUWVR — CapFriendly (@CapFriendly) August 7, 2021
alfredoh2009
and since I do not see this posted on this thread, Mete signed a one-year deal with OTT: News Release: The #Sens have agreed to terms on a one-year ($1.2M) contract with defenceman Victor Mete for the 2021-22 season: https://t.co/asYLG9cjoP pic.twitter.com/4BQPQSGvGR — Ottawa Senators (@Senators) August 4, 2021
dlbalr
Mete at $1.2M would have been a bit too pricey for the Habs considering where he would have been on the depth chart.
The Chicoutimi Cucumber
Former Hab Tony Esposito just passed away. I always found it kind of incredible that the Habs’ system produced Ken Dryden, Tony Esposito, and Rogie Vachon all in the same handful of years. The former two were at the absolute pinnacle of the position for a decade and Vachon was a legit #1 himself. Talk about an embarrassment of riches… Anyway - sympathies to the Esposito clan, a great hockey family.

I can’t believe he actually got another job. Seems to have coincided to when Columbus started to suck again - yes, I know they lost a lot of good players as well😇

Jackets gonna suck.
