He's getting deployed as the number one defenceman right now which, frankly, is terrifying for a team that's trying to make the playoffs. But to his credit, he has found some offence lately and he has been pretty steady in his own end.

dlbalr
2-0 Laval after 20 minutes - Richard and Teasdale with the power play goals. Not thrilled that McKay is in there though, he's a penalty machine.

DON
Norlinder just not looking good this year, on paper and game summaries anyways. Any chance being a NHL d-man who might be impactful at all seems pretty low (to me anyways) and back to Scandinavia i assume he will be, sooner than later. https://www.habsworld.net/2023/01/rocket-weekly-laval-extends-point-streak-to-seven-straight/ Maybe Trudeau will be a surprise and keep playing well? Plutarch
Teasdale in three straight! I'm going to keep hoping he can recover from all the injuries and be a 4th liner 😛

alfredoh2009
I am happy to read that the Laval Rocket play-by-play & "beat" reporter, Anthony Marcotte, thinks so highly of Mysak. Let's hope his view becomes true En gris, c’est Jan Mysak.
GHT120
How is Belzile the only "Emergency Loan" player sent back to Laval ... isn't the emergency negated by the lack of games for an extended period? Ylonen going back down may not auger well for him as bodies return ... his TOI has been a roller-coaster ... after a four game run of 14:30+TOI he has dropped back to 4th line minutes and been seriously out-performed by RHP. dlbalr
The Habs have to carry 18 'healthy' players on the roster through the All-Star break so some of the emergency recalls had to stay up. On that 'healthy' list are Caufield and Edmundson so there's a bit of gamesmanship going on - those two staying on the active list is what allowed Ylonen and Belzile to actually go down. So, was the assignment primarily in order to get some healthy players to Laval for the duration of the break, then?

Yeah, get some players to Laval and get the players game time. Clears cap space as salary is days on the roster, not games. We will see who comes up after the break.

That and to pause the waiver clock on Belzile specifically as days up with the big club count.
