The cederquist example was future considerations too.

So a "beer" the next time the GMs see each other ... 😉

Basically the team is clearing a contract spot for other trades or College and CHL FAs

I like the sound of this;

"Just 17 seconds later, with the Rocket still on a power play, they extended the lead. Another great passing play from Adam Engström to David Reinbacher to Lucas Condotta, and it was 2-0."

Rocket vs. Senators: Power play leads the way as Laval wins again

The Rocket have three more home games next week, hosting the Utica Comets on Wednesday, before a huge back-to-back against the division-leading Americans on Friday night and Saturday afternoon.

there are only a dew The Rocket players I would do and AHL swap with. Either they have to little trade value or they are too important to the team. Out of:

Kidney? Condotta? Wotherspoon? Hayes?

I don't think the Rocket would move their captain in a lateral AHL swap, nor would they move their best shutdown D in Wotherspoon.  Kidney is a maybe if they've soured on him (something like Mysak/Perreault from last year) and Hayes wouldn't yield enough of a return for there to be a point in moving him.

i agree, not too many good candidates for a swap.

Rocket Weekly: Starting March on a good note – HabsWorld.net

"Emil Heineman, Lane Hutson, and Arber Xhekaj are the other waiver-exempt players on the roster but it’s unlikely any of them will go down.  With Beck being an obvious paper candidate, the intrigue for me on Friday on this front will be what happens with Dobes.  On the surface, he seems like a logical candidate to go down but the more I think of it, the more I think they might not do it, even with Laval being in line for what they hope is a long playoff run.  We’ll see what happens soon enough."

That top line (if I got it right) is killing teams.

Roy seems to have become a near forgotten player. He doesn’t contribute nearly as much as expected or hoped. A shame.

He got a shoulder injury the he was in consideration for a callup, the time Heineman got hurt.  The next morning Beck got the call and played wing at that time.

the latest injury was at centre (Dach), which meant he was never in consideration for the spot, it always had to be Beck.

Given that he's the team's third leading scorer, and the two ahead of him are AHL journeymen, I'd expect he'd be called up if we need a winger.

Lots of Reinbacher plays get noted.

Pairing of he and Engstrom seem to work well together, from the game reports anyways.

"... In fact, the only thing able to slow down the forecheck was the pairing of Reinbacher and Adam Engström who finally pushed the play to the other end of the ice, with Reinbacher nearly banking in a second goal off a Utica skate in front of goal."

"...It was again the Reinbacher-Engström tandem flustering the Comets in the offensive zone, with Reinbacher directing the flow of offence like a seasoned vet."

it was a solid game, Reinbacher looked poised and showed confidence in the o-zone. Primeau had another strong game. Lt's to like about Laval right now.

Vincent Arseneau is back tonight.  While that's not too exciting, he's a fourth-line body if nothing else that gives them an extra healthy forward.  Mesar and Hoefenmayer are skating in a non-contact jersey.

He is a solid AHL 4th liner, an energy/pysical player that skates at a decent level. He got hurt on a stupid fight recently, but that is his way of keeping other Rocket players from the penalty box: by being the policeman on the ice when he plays.

I am glad he is back. I hope he helps Kidney on the 4th line.

It's possible but I think they have at least one extra forward now so it could just be a matter of helping T-R.  They're down to just 6 D though which is a bit strange (unless Lindstrom is getting close or Hoefenmayer is extremely ahead of schedule).
