dlbalr
Hoefenmayer is out for tonight due to injury while Reinbacher will be a healthy scratch (not performance-based but rather them not wanting him to play three in four nights after missing several months). Vincent Sevigny will make his Laval debut.

alfredoh2009
Last game against the crunch: No Reinbacher and no Hoefenmayer: Dans le cadre de son protocole de retour au jeu (retour de blessure), David Reinbacher ne jouera pas ce soir, en raison du volume élevé de matchs cette semaine. As part of his return to play protocol (return from an injury), David Reinbacher will not play tonight, due to the… — Rocket de Laval (@RocketLaval) February 22, 2025 Order is deceiving, on the Rocket's lineup. Dauphin is the top line wtih RHP and Roy. Condotta is on the second line with Farrell and ABB. 🤩 Beck 🤩 centers the 3rd line, I do not think he has chemistry with Florian-X... On D, Engstrom is not very good playing on the right. Hughes was amazing in goal, he kept it close even if he was bombarded all night. The Crunch is one of those teams loaded with veterans and they played hard against the Rocket. Trudeau and Mailloux were the defensemen that I liked the most, but my opinion is very amateurish: take it for what it is. I do not like Engstrom on RD. I only noticed Sevigny on the ice a handful of times, I do not think he played much - specially with all the penalties. Pn ofence, the DAuphin line was the best. Kidney's line played good 4th line minutes. The other lines were "meh", seemed to be outmached or snuffed-out most of the time. I am happy with the overall team effort, they played hard despite the loss.

Canajun
Alfredoh... it's taken a little while, but it seems Sean Farrell is starting to figure out professional hockey. What are your thoughts on him and his future with the organization. I've seen only a few highlights of him but he seems fast - Newhook kind of fast. Thanks. I do not know how fast he is or how well he skates. Someone else can answer that better than me. Since December, he has been more combative and less tentative when making plays. A few games ago, a play by play guy from another team was praising his shot. I started paying attention and I vaguely remember when he was drafted that Bergevin or Timmins had mentioned he had a deceptive release mid stride along with good vision. I think those traits are showing now because he is more assertive. I still do not know how well this would translate to the NHL. But IMHO, I do not think he has the skating ability to up his play and show the same success higher up.
DON
Rocket Weekly: Slipping out of First – HabsWorld.net "The Week Ahead Wednesday at Toronto – In a rare morning start (it’s a school day game), Laval will get a chance to quickly avenge one of their uglier losses of the season, one that got particularly chippy at the end as well. ..." "... Farrell has definitely earned an opportunity to get a look at some point where he’ll have a chance to prove he’s worth keeping around beyond this season. Considering how it was looking just a couple of months ago, that’s a pretty good turnaround for him."

After the deadline, they may have to reassess that (after hopefully adding a piece or two either in an NHL trade or an AHL swap) but for now, I'd be surprised if Davidson - or anyone - is recalled. I think the Habs would have to part with a draft pick (5th or 6th) and that's only if the Rangers are giving up on Hartford making a playoff push. By AHL swap, I was thinking more along the lines of the Filip Cederqvist pickup from last year for future considerations, just taking on a depth body for no return to hedge against more injuries or recalls.

Either they have to little trade value or they are too important to the team. Out of: Kidney? Condotta? Wotherspoon? Hayes? Maybe Kidney can ring back a better AHL 4C. Out of: Engstrom? Lindstrom? Trudeau? Barre-Boulet? Dauphin? RHP? Roy? Tuch(IR)? Florian-X? Florian-X is the only one I would not move, but the return for any of the others has to improve The Rocket
