Of course, but the progression in his offensive game continues which is great to see. His defensive game is a work in progress like many of the other young Habs defensemen. I don't think I made any claim about his defence, or that he should be called up. But Mailloux does seem to play well against a divisional rival--and the farm team of the hated Bruins at that--and that's a nice thing to see, and could possibly be a factor next spring (in the Calder Cup playoffs). It was a chippy game, many dirty body checks and some fights. I agree about Hutson, I think he knows how, he had to learn by being a smaller player. He has had some errors in judgement where he has got caught pinching, being too aggressive etc but those are things easily corrected and Hutson has a high hockey IQ so he will learn quickly. I think Mailloux is getting very close. His offensive skillset is very enticing but he can't depend on that alone to get him to the majors.
