Prime Minister Koivu
These lines are from yesterday and I’ll update if there are changes. Sloppy game last night but there were some positive things. I am impressed with Barre-Boulet’s passing ability. He seems to be a very high level passer and he looked good on the PP and he set up Dvorak with beautiful opportunities. Unfortunately Dvorak had no idea what to do. Go Habs Go
Commandant
Gotta think Primeau starts and they go back to Monty on Saturday.

Go Habs Go That was the same issue when Hutson was out with him and made some great plays and than Dvorak got the puck and the play ended with him giving it away. I recall that play ... and immediately thought that someone would cite it to criticize Dvorak ... not that I am a fan of Christian by any means. Dalhabs
Predicting that the bruins will fall off this year. The rat is getting older and will start declining, Swayman will fall under the pressure of his new contract and the d isnt good enough to save him. Habs win 4-2! Riiiight?

That's exactly what I was thinking, Habs 4-2. Great minds think alike. And I can actually watch the game with the Center Ice Package. Life is good. Heard that Marchand would have been through 3 medical procedure this off season alone.
DON
Was resigned to a lost season out of the gate last year, not so much this fall. A 2-0 start would be sweet. Dach is on a 82 point pace so far.

Yes, Marchand is now 36, his best years are definitely behind him. A talented player but harder to be a pest at 36.
sbhatt
They need to tighten up defensively tonight...very unlikely that Primeau has the sort of heroics in him that we saw from Montembeault last night.

I fear that we are in for some growing pains for a while. Hutson, Savard - Hutson is wowing us with his skill but he is trying to keep up in the Dzone and it’s going to take some time to adjust to the speed and size of his opponents. He wasn’t brutal last night but he ran around, overwhelmed. I do think he will be ok Xhekaj, Barron - Xhekaj is just learning and it seems like 90% of team toughness is on his shoulders. Barron looks completely overwhelmed and I’m not sure has a future. Matheson, Guhle - Matheson is often outstanding but sometimes he completely stinks. Long story short, our defence won’t be good for some time IMO. Good news is that there seems to be very strong buy in on team defence. Yup, if they give up 48 shots they will almost certainly lose.

The O zone is a no brainer to see but, his decision making in the d zone was very good and his subtle feints and outlet passing was spot on almost always. He ran around in the D zone no more than any other player when we were hemmed in our own end. Will he get out muscled for pucks at times? Of course.... To me, he has been excellent since game 81 LY and will only get better.

My point is that our entire defence is learning and they are expected to improve. Along the way to high level play there will be times like last night. Prime Minister Koivu
Yep Primeau hasn’t been great. Hutson’s pass on Caufield’s goal was perfect. Hutson did some good and some not so good things. Dach is really tremendous Not sure Armia is offensive enough to play with Dach
