For a guy that could get an AHL deal, that's an intriguing combo that's probably worth a look. Mercer and Coulombe for that matter are just field fillers since the only drafted goalie going to camp is Vrbetic.

dlbalr
No Vincenz Rohrer for the rookie tournament: Quote Unfortunately for Vincent Rohrer, drafted 75th overall the Montreal Canadiens in the summer, he’ll be unable to attend the NHL camp due to an injury. Rohrer took a puck in the face is expected to be out for four weeks. https://ottawasun.com/sports/hockey/young-defenceman-mews-hopes-to-rise-quickly-with-the-67s
GHT120
He is not at training camp, but gotta love his confidence/enthusiasm. From TVA Sports and Google translate: THE STARTLING STATEMENT OF A CANADIENS PROSPECT Anthony Martineau ... 18-year-old Adam Engström, a left-handed native of Södertälje (Sweden) who the CH selected in the third round of the last draft ... <said> ... "I want to become the best defender in the world," says the young man without restraint in as a convincing tone as possible. “I always wanted to be the best. It is with this mentality and this objective that I put on my work boots every morning.

Yep, The most standout player in the game, Soderlund, who was a bust. The above mentioned, all are far from NHL. Oslund has good legs and hockey smarts though. Still young. Fun game though with a great atmosphere. I compare it to watching a Jr A game with a soccer crowd.

It's a shame that we don't have that arena culture here. Saw a preseason Mooseheads game which was full of UK navy guys off their boat. Was the loudest game id been to!
