nhfarber
Habs acquire Dwight King from the LA Kings for a conditional 4th in 2018.
Guest Stogey24
They're getting bigger for sure. Building a real bottom 6. I don't hate it. A big move is coming. there is no way Beregvin only adds to the bottom 6.

Too many pieces at the bottom end of the roster. Wondering if we could see something like McCarron, Andrighetto, Beaulieu and a 1st for Duchene. Maybe that's not enough, but something has to give here.

Lol, I know, but the bottom of this line up has done absolutely nothing for months now. You're right though for sure
Machine of Loving Grace
I like the guy on TSN who said Montreal knows they can't score goals so they gotta go ahead and make themselves hard to play against if they don't score goals. There's a strategy!
mineral
That's $2m off the cap. Without trading Pleky (and i think Beaulieu is already a goner), do they have any room for someone of impact?

They took his entire cap at $1.9M (I know it's less at the deadline)

I'll get to the cap sheet in a bit, I'm working on the site write-up at the moment.

dlbalr
The pick becomes a 3rd if King signs an extension with the Habs (he's a pending UFA).

Lovett's Magnatones
Those eight goals must have made Bergevin nervous. Anything over five is a liability. Still a few hours left in the #sheahansweepstakes stare down...

huzer
Man, a lot of little moves. Nesterov, Benn, Ott, King, Davidson. Three of those came in without an NHL roster body going the other way. What else is coming or going?
lazy26
Like all of MB's moves, I think this is a small upgrade, but still doesn't address our greatest needs.

I think it does. For many years we have been too small and got out-hit. While speed is great, it's a time proven strategy that physicality wins series. We disappear in physical games, it's why we are horrible on California road trips with 3 big physical teams. While led I would like to see another 2nd line guy with some scoring touch added, I think these little tweaks will make us a better team for the rest of the year.

Yeah, MB's blueprint is one of the worst leafs organization ever. Unless something big happens over the next hour, it looks like a lot of my garbage for your garbage deals. Machine of Loving Grace
Steve Ott for a 6th Parenteau for a 6th Such a strange trade world.
Chris
I like King, he is a good player. The team is starting to look like a CJ team.
Habsfan
I like this move by MB. We've needed size for the longest time and King brings that to the Habs.
