Gallagher and line look like a 4th line…

Other than the Staal line, the other 3 aren’t looking great.  The Anderson line looks the worse to me so far.

Yeah, I would give this entire period to the Jets, except when Perry’ line is out..

I've seen nothing to worry about yet - but it would be better if the Habs had scored by now.  I wanted the Jets to think the Habs can score at will, but they've sorta lost that.   However, if the Jets score 1st and the Habs get it back within 5 mins that will get in the Jets heads.

If the Jets lose this game, they will think that they'll win with Stasny.  If they lose when he comes back it will hugely deflate their morale and they'll be routed.

I called a right game but I was expecting more intensity

both teams are playing with the tip of their sticks, poke checking and touch passing

I also called for the special units to be determinant. So let’s see who gets the first PP

I thought that was a fairly even period overall.  Winnipeg was better in the first and last five minutes and Montreal was a bit better in the middle.  The scoring chances were minimal for either side which is basically what everyone expected from this series.

I would add Montreal had the more dangerous chances.

While the defence ice time is far from balanced, the same can't be said for the forwards.

Suzuki led all Montreal forwards in the first at 5:52 while Staal was the lowest at 4:16.  With no special teams action so far, they're basically just rolling four lines.

The Staal line was probably the Habs best that period.

Have to admit he's played better than I expected.

I still don't see anything in Gustafsson, so I'll just agree to disagree with his fans here.

He's a PP specialist for the Habs.  The real question is does he add anything that a forward in his spot on the PP doesn't?  If not Romanov would be more suited maybe?  He's far for the best defenseman the Habs can throw out there, but better than Gustafsson in his own end.

As for who was on Gustafsson's team in the year he put up 60 points.

A PP with Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews, Alex Debrincat, and Brandon Saad in front of the net, was surely not lacking in talent.
