Prime Minister Koivu
I wonder if Evans will be here on Feb. 22 when the season resumes? Is the rest going to reinvigorate the team or are we gonna keep losing? Do we have a hope in hell of making the playoffs? What is Marty going to do with the lines? Is Slafkovsky going to be playing with Gallagher and Dvorak again? A young Bob Gainey looks like Zuckerberg

I doubt we’ll see a other team with that much hardware to go with the cup.

It can only have done Monty good to be part of that - and we have the benefit of his having had the time to heal up any nagging injuries etc

xXx..CK..xXx
As a little bonus on the flip side, Armia just sent McAvoy to the infirmary for a few weeks during the tournament as well. Habs fans were complaining about Guhle? (And rightly so) Might be a bigger loss for them. Just to disclose, I don’t really wish an injury on anyone. I just found it ironic that Armia was the one who injured him. In reality, the way USA’s medical staff handled the situation is rather worrisome. Had he not returned to Boston for the final couple of games, who knows how long it would have taken them to treat him properly. As for tonight, GHG! Hopefully we can get a streak going and erase everyone’s memory in regards to how we were playing right before the break. It’s trade deadline season. Let’s play as though we want to stay together as a team. As for Ottawa, I expect Brady to have a fire lit within his belly tonight.

We were having a really hard time leading up to the break. I was thinking that Brady might be injured but if not then he will certainly be a bastard to compete against. dlbalr
Xhekaj on Tkachuk: Quote “I’m going to confront him. I’m going to go straight to him. I’m going to beat the crap out of him. I don’t care,” Xhekaj told Nicolas Cloutier of TVA Sports. “I want to make his life (miserable),” Xhekaj added. “I want his evening to be painful. What I give him must be stronger than what he gives.” Not the smartest thing to say publicly, that's for sure. Now if there's anything remotely iffy that happens, all we'll hear about is a premeditated attack. This, of course, is in response to the preseason where he was jumped but still, broadcasting that in advance of the game isn't a great move on his part. https://ottawacitizen.com/sports/habs-defenceman-arber-xhekaj-issues-warning-to-senators-captain-brady-tkachuk

Commandant
I would be surprised if Brady plays to be honest. He looked beat up. Not as much as his brother but by the end of the tourney he looked beaten. Even if he does play lets hope there is an adrenaline dump.

Am guessing St Louis always avoids Xhekaj being on ice vs a #1 line in any game, as much as possible anyways. What an idiot, sounds like a quote straight out of Slap Shot. Wonder what habs could get for him at the deadline?

He is the #6 d-man with no PP or PK play, who should be focused on playing better frickin defense and just maintaining a spot on the Habs roster, not spouting off juvenile comments. But, am sure some dumb GM would over value him for the 1 thing you mention, which hasnt seemed to ever help the Habs score more goals.
