Lovett's Magnatones
Bets on who scores Habs first goal of the season? I'll take the dark horse.... Moen! Danny Briere with a three point night. Say what you want, but he's a big game player and he's going to fly tomorrow night.
brobin
Price looks terrible... Gionta sucks... We are too small... Diaz blows... God, why did we sign DD.... That should cover the first period comments.
JGC21
Danny Briere with a three point night. Say what you want, but he's a big game player and he's going to fly tomorrow night. I'll go with Gallagher!
BCHabnut
This team has a #1 defense (subban), a #3 defense (markov), 3 #5 defense (Gorges, Boullion, and Diaz), And a #7 (tinordi) on a good team. I really hope they can manage. I will be cheering them on, but I am not excited about this defense.

Trizzak
Danny Briere with a three point night. Say what you want, but he's a big game player and he's going to fly tomorrow night. I love this, but if Briere wants to fully assimilate himself into the team then he better lay an egg like the rest of the guys do on opening night. Our opening game record the last 7 seasons: 2 wins (both in OT) - 5 losses.

TurdBurglar
First goal I'm gonna say is Pacioretty. He had a great pre-season, I'd expect him to come out with a purpose tomorrow night. Got a feeling we're still gonna drop the game 4-2.
The Chicoutimi Cucumber
Boy, that configuration on D looks problematic. Diaz and Tinordi should switch slots IMHO...although I guess that would mean too many minutes for Tinordi. That injury to Emelin is still hurting us. Habsfan84
Excited for the season to start. Dont have a great feeling about this one though. Experct the Habs to come out very flat. I think we'll end up losing it 4-1 and the only Habs goal will come from Gionta. I'm hoping I'm wrong
JoeLassister
Subban on the PP for the 1st goal.
kenadian
1st goal scored by whoever gets the 1st shot on net! I just hope there's not a long drawn out pregame ceremony.......... just announce the players and drop the puck.

DON
First goal I'm gonna say is Pacioretty. He had a great pre-season, I'd expect him to come out with a purpose tomorrow night. Got a feeling we're still gonna drop the game 4-2. agreed, 67 has looked the most dangerous all pre-season (Subban also has looked super, but more likely to assist on first goal) . I agree with Brain on the PK being important and heres hoping faceoff % is also better this year. But I am more optimistic about Price and think he will be fine. The Chicoutimi Cucumber
Hoo boy...with Boo Boo out, we've got two raw rookies on D. Hopefully they will play out of their minds, but the last time we had a defence corps like that was the Fall of 2011. Yowza. I expect a loss tonight. Foofram
For the past few seasons, the Leafs have seemed to have a knack for looking fantastic in these first-game matchups. I predict we will be brutalized by their truculence.
