Scott462
This team needs Drouin back so badly. They are desperate for some real skill.

Link67
Bad Refs, Bad Luck, and Great Saves from Bernie were the difference tonight. The better team lost, and that happens from time to time

Truth is ever since Claude called them out they really haven’t been doing us any favours this year.
Trizzak
Habs were just as frustrated playing that game as fans were watching it. Wasting points on bad teams though...

IN THE HEARTS OF MEN
This upcoming 7 game road is so crucial. I believe it will make or break our season. Bullshit refs 5 to 1 PP... Bernier with almost back to back shutouts against us! Ridiculous

Chris
Looks like the only person to put the puck in the net was the guy in between periods. Probably should sign him

The Chicoutimi Cucumber
The Wings and Habs are very similar teams, except that the Wings are the worse version. Both are fast, young, and dodgy on the back end. I suspect Price is mainly what separates us from the Wings over the course of a full season. The result was an entertaining hockey game. A pity about the loss, but I enjoyed the matchup.

The advanced stats even outside of price have detroit as the worst team of the cap era and the habs as a top 5 team in 5v5 play with some special teams issues. They arent similar at all. Dont mistake the results of one game out of 30 to suggest the teams are similar.
habs#4,9,10,33
A very disappointed Lose at home against the leagues worst, just before hitting a difficult all Canadian Western swing. All this talk about out playing them and so on! They need to find a way to score and win these games at any cost . Loses like these all year will be the difference on us not making the playoffs by 2-3 points again.

If they had a different roster, they might win more often, but they are what they are, a 15-18 team in 18th place in the league, 18th in goals for and 18th in goals against. Barring a significant roster change, i still doubt will make playoffs, my guess at finishing 10th in the East still looks to be about right. 1

Getting Drouin, Mete and Kotkaniemi back will be a roster change of shorts. It’s possible that their return, plus backup goaltending from Primeau, might be enough to get us into the playoffs. Might. A lot will depend on how our divisional rivals play for the rest if the year.

Very much true. But for sure we are not a championship contender this season. I don't think we would be even if we got a rental player or two. Maybe Boston won without one? (Tied for 34th in scoring- Tatar, 12th best LW, so not really all-star/elite)
