TurdBurglar Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 Assuming the lineups will be the same. Caufield - Suzuki - Dach Newhook - Kapanen - Armia Anderson - Evans - Gallagher Heineman - Dvorak - Pezzetta Matheson - Mailloux Hutson - Savard Struble - Xhekaj Primeau The game against St. Louis had lots of positives to build off. Most importantly a couple of stale players getting on the scoresheet. Lets hope it's up from here. 2 Quote
Butterface Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 This will be an interesting game. I hope for continued depth scoring. Continued strong special teams play. Another game for Hutson to build off. A look at Michkov to see what could have been…. Maybe a winnable game for Primeau. Quote
Prime Minister Koivu Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 I would love back to back wins Go Habs Go Quote

Two interesting (I thought) comments on TSN690 post-game show last night. (1) despite the short flight to Philadelphia players, especially those with kids, might get a better night's rest as they get to sleep in later than they might otherwise. (2) both teams won yesterday and the team that "handles success" best MAY have an advantage tonight ... meaning that having broken the bad luck/play one team, or both, might lose a bit of their edge. Butterface Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 Thank god I don’t listen to TSN690 because that sounds like hockey talk I am uninterested in…. i failed to check my man because my kid woke me up early to watch cartoons and I have a hard time handling the massive success of a win after 4 winless games. Habs are just lucky to get a weak team on the back end of back to back games. If they can’t win this it’s time to consider Dobes over Primeau. Quote

Wouldn't that depend on how Primeau plays tonight? Also, would it really be a good odea to rush Dobes to the NHL after 54 professional games? Quote

It looks like the Flyers are giving this guy his first game. Kind of feels like an opportunity to score 7 or 8 goals tonight. Quote

I would be happy with 4 goals. Quote
Helmethead Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 That might be the STUPIDIST call I’ve ever seen in my 42 yrs of watching. Quote
Prime Minister Koivu Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 The entire Xhekaj penalty situation was an absolute farce. I can’t wait for the official explanation Quote
TurdBurglar Posted October 27, 2024 Author Posted October 27, 2024 In case anyone who missed it was wondering. Quote

Prime Minister Koivu Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 Habs are getting lots of rush chances and it’s great to see Kapanen shooting the puck. Suzuki line looks great. Habs still get lost in their own zone and run around. Still flabbergasted by the Xhekaj penalty Quote
Pepsi Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 (edited) Thanks for clarifying guys. I thought I missed something. That was a very very biased call. I guess the league has it out for Xekaj now. Gotta win now to spite the asshole. Edited October 27, 2024 by Pepsi Clarify asshole is the ref not Xekaj Quote

I can’t wait for the official explanation I think for those looking for Third Man In, that's called on a fight and since there wasn't a fight called, that penalty didn't apply. Still, a minor to Seeler to even it up would have made sense. Quote
DON Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 Suzuki 1g 4 shots. Evans leads forwards icetime, 6:31 Heineman/Kapanen 2 shots Quote
Habs Fan in Edmonton Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 I thought Kapanen had an excellent period. Quote
TurdBurglar Posted October 28, 2024 Author Posted October 28, 2024 The ref that was beside the fight indicated at the time at least Xhekaj and Couturier were penalized. He pointed to both and waved his hand towards the box, which is pretty typical during a penalty call. He then pointed at Seeler and said something to the linesman. I don't know why the penalties were changed after that. Quote
Habsfan Posted October 28, 2024 Posted October 28, 2024 Great game by the Habs so far. This game could be 6-1, but I'm not complaining! Keep up the hard work and don't let down in the 3rd! Quote
