Evans line is playing great again, including Anderson.

I think for those looking for Third Man In, that's called on a fight and since there wasn't a fight called, that penalty didn't apply.  Still, a minor to Seeler to even it up would have made sense.

Dropped gloves by all three players.

The unsportsmanlike to Xhekaj was a ludicrous call itself because he did absolutely nothing.

If you penalize Xhekaj for his role then how do the two Flyers get nothing?

I would say Xhekaj was the 'initiator' on the play (instigator would be too strong considering not much happened).  Couturier had no interest in fighting; even as he was dropping the gloves he was putting his one arm up to the ref like 'do I actually have to do this?'.  A player can drop the gloves, do nothing, and not get called for anything.  That happens quite a bit, actually.  So I understand him getting nothing for that.  Xhekaj (who did chase Couturier down a bit and it could be argued cornered him), I'm okay with an unsportsmanlike there.  But the one official pointed at Seeler when he got involved so I figured there'd be an even-up to make it four-on-four.

Ignoring Couturier, you have to call Seeler for something in there.

it was very clear the league has it out for Xhekaj.  There wasn’t a more respectful way he could have handled that situation.

I can accept Brian’s explanation against Xhekaj.

We are in agreement that at the very least there should have been offsetting minors

Are they gonna blow it here?

Holy hell I can’t believe they almost blew it.

Also, when Ghule comes back, who goes down, Mailloux or Xhekaj? Both look like trash.

I think Mailloux does some good stuff but he doesn’t read the play very well.

I expect he gets sent down

Primeau has to make those saves.

I think Mailloux is showing that he has the skill to play at this level but his defensive game isn't good enough yet.  (And that's fine at this stage of his development.)  Now he's had a taste and knows the importance of working on his in-zone coverage in Laval so it makes sense to send him down as he has the most to work on.

Also, if Barron isn't ready by the time Guhle is, they don't necessarily have to send any blueliner down.  They'll have to send Condotta back to open up the roster spot for Guhle (who was moved to IR today) but that's about it.

Michkov was playing just okay. Had the puck knocked off his stick a lot.

I’d like to play the Flyers all 82 games of the season. They are not good.

Caufield should have had more….. 2-3 goals.

Hutson sets up his teammates and they can’t bury them. I can’t believe how many assists he has lost out on. It’s sad.

We are back in the mix.

This was the first time I had seen him play, so I was looking for the "wow" and I didn't see it. A good rookie but that's it, and the xGF/60 data bears that out, he's not at a completely different level from Kapanen or Heineman.

Will he be a superstar? Maybe, but I'm not seeing it yet. He doesn't look like a Bedard out there, and that's in spite of playing on the Flyers' top line.

We looked pretty good up until the last 4min or so.  Glad Caufield got one to stay hot, but he could have had 4 tonight with a little bit more luck.  I agree with the sentiment that Hutson should have far more assists this season, but has teammates who can't finish his beautiful set-ups.

I think it will take some time before the forwards start being able to anticipate what Hutson will do.

No question the Habs are a far more dangerous team with Hutson on the ice. As mentioned previously, Caulfield had so many chances that he normally wouldn't miss, should have had at least 3 goals. Suzuki looks far more engaged, the top line generated a lot of chances.
