DON
Cool, it been a long friggin time since the last meaningful game and GDT.
TurdBurglar
Nice to start the season with Price and Petry on the sidelines. Good thing both look very temporary.
zumpano21
That's a slick GDT.
Guest Stogey24
Danault surprised me quite a bit in preseason. Him and Mitchell had some pretty good chemistry. Be nice to see that carry over.
Meller93
Here's to Lehkonen scoring 5 goals in his debut. The offseason was far too long. Let the games begin!

You'd be surprised how much this new board doesn't like HTML code - a lot of the GDT templates I have are no good now (or at least require some adjustments). I had to do this one from scratch and it took a fair bit of trial and error even though it looks pretty basic.
dlbalr
Kulikov won't play for Buffalo so Casey Nelson draws in. Ryan O'Reilly will play though.
habs rule
Even with the injuries, that is a pretty good looking line up, and it will get better. Time to rattle some Sabres and chase them out of the rink.
The Chicoutimi Cucumber
It's a good lineup up front. The back end sure looks sketchy, however. Markov-Pateryn is NOT a combo I'd want to go to war with for an extended number of games. You really see how important Petry is, structurally, when you scan that roster. Chris
Last year it was no Price, no dice. Let's see if they team can win some games without Price. I think on paper they better than last year.

Guest Stogey24
Sergachev skating is a thing of beauty Weber looks slow folks. Just sayin Plekanec has done nothing from the start of camp

Buffalo looked disorganized for a lot of that period. Not that I'm complaining or anything... Lehkonen stood out to me in the first, he certainly didn't play like a nervous rookie. BCHabnut
Way too much time was spent around Montoya for a basement team. Tampa would be killing us right now.

Ya definitely caught my eye as well. He's working hard out there. Hope he continues to see time on the 2nd line even if he doesn't get rewarded from the get go. He did also got a bit of time on the power play but that was on our 3rd pp unit of Desharnais and Carr.
Habsfan
Good road game up to now. I like what I see from Weber, Beaulieu, Carr, and especially Montoya! I don't like what I see from Plekanec. Hey Tommy, the pre-season is over!
BCHabnut
Montoya is having a game. Wow.
BCHabnut
Sergachev is scary. He needs to go back to the minors. Great skater but he needs to respect his opponents a bit more. A few dangerous plays tonight.

Great skater but he needs to respect his opponents a bit more. A few dangerous plays tonight. Tough period for him. He had the near turnover at the blueline that would have been a breakaway, telegraphed (and missed) the hip check that gave Buffalo numbers in his own zone, and then got hit with a puck (He also had the near turnover on the PP in the first that Beaulieu bailed him out on.) He can certainly skate well but that enough doesn't qualify him for full-time NHL duty. Montoya's having himself a nice game. He didn't get much help from the D in the second period though, their in-zone play needs to tighten up.
