IDEALLY, back to Laval as well ... HuGo need to add a couple of 4th line forwards, and a 7D

"... They did manage to find a few chances though, thanks to the incredible edge work from Adam Engström who dangled his way through the Wolf Pack penalty-killers, allowing Filip Mešár to create a chance that forced Domingue into a sprawling save."

I fully expect a defenceman and a forward called up before the California trip.

No way they go to Cali with 12 forwards and 6 D.

Apparently that's exactly what they're doing.  With the AHL ASG out that way this year, I guess the plan is that they could pull Beck or Mailloux up from there if needed.

The way they have handled these callups have been weird.  Are they so close to LTIR that they cant afford to call up guys? Or are they trying to save as much as possible for deadline?

Price is already on LTIR ... per PuckPedia the Habs have $7.5475M in cap space as a result

Florian with the winning goal last night ... crossing in front of the net he reaches back and snaps the loose rebound into the net

There's no cap-related benefit to running with a minimum-sized roster while the team is in LTIR and going with the skeleton roster doesn't get them out of there.  It's either that they're prioritizing Laval or they're trying to save a few bucks, probably the former.

Florian’s 4th line has been a difference maker in a few games already. He has been playing well on defensive assignments and when he is put in situations to use their strength and physicality in the offensive zone, he can turn it up.

I am very happy with his rookie season

🤩 Beck 🤩 and Mailloux were recalled before the game today. Laval plays with 11 forwards. Florian will have more ice time :halm:

Primeau two games back-to-back. The more he plays he better he gets

Primeau let’s a squeaker in. He made the stop with two players pushing for position right in front.

the puck bounced and got through between the pads. A lucky goal where he could have done breed but not his fault

Sometimes I wish Lindstrom would show more flashes of being able to take Savard’s place in the NHL.

he has no offensive ability but seems solid

After all penalties are done third goal by Hartford. Very nice deviation on a floating pass.

Slow change at the bench put all rockets in a bad situation.
Primeau has not been bad, the team is flat with only one shot against Hartford with 5 min left

This is the only thing that makes sense.

I do not think they are prioritizing Laval.
the call ups were announced in the room 90 minutes before the game. Laval had already returned Beaucage.

Shows a lack of planning and coordination with Laval. No way the players can appreciate this.

I am glad to see Mesar playing better. He seems to have found his playing form and is adjusting well to the AHL

Not impressing yet but not hurting the club anymore
